Captain Tony "Are you SERIOUS? SERIOUSLY?!!!

Fell on your sword? REALLY? Were you even there? The offer that ended the strike was only slightly better than the last offer before the strike. Then you guys turned around and gave it all back during the ASA negotiations because Butthead Buttrell dangled some E175s in your faces, which put huge downward pressure on OUR negotiations! So don't lecture me about improving the profession!"

Hold a minute CPT T - The company that started the downward spiral was Chautauqa, Comair only froze wages, not accepted a concessionary contract.... Then did ASA even hold the line nope - they accepted a concessionary contract.... And as you probably full well know there are many more examples of how we all have found ourselves in this mess.

This is not an attack on you - it is just an example of the failure of OUR unions....

We all MUST unite, or we WILL all FAIL ......

Simple as that ...

How do you figure ASA signed a concessionary contract? We improved every section of our contract in 2007 after 5.5 YEARS of negotiation. Concessions means you gave things up and the new contract is worse than your old one. Learn what terms mean before you use them.

And a pay freeze IS concessionary. You are forgoing raises. That's giving money back to the company.

Nope, I got here two years after that.

Delta / FredEx did dangle E175s in front of us in 2005, but they also showed us the big stick that was Republic/Chautauqua and said "play nice or you're done"

I'm sorry that Delta's whipsaw of Comair put more downward pressure on ASA's negotiations. That's how management plays.

For what it's worth, I'm hearing "full pay to the last day" in the crew room. Maybe we will vote "NO" on any further concessions and take our demise like true professionals. You can keep hoping...

It's not just me... everyone is hoping you don't take concessions to 'save the company". Because no amount of concessions will do that... they will only increase management's bonuses and hurt the rest of us.

But as you NOW admit, y'all don't have a great track record in this...

Please state your question in a less troll-like manner so we can give you an intelligent answer.

Look, Boomer, what's happening to you guys sucks, but there's no reason to take it out on everyone and treat your fellow pilots like crap. It's not their fault.

I'd say Delta. If DALPA hadn't given up scope on 50seats or less in exchange for more money, none of this wouldn't have happened. But Comair was indeed the launch customer for the CRJ100.

Pilotrob doesn't need to jump on here and blame Comair for what he calls "the rj mess". This is not Pilotrob's first rodeo; he knows the history.

Are you saying his post was a legitimate question? Because it sounds like flamebait to me.

just an honest question dude. Like i have stated for the past week, i have expressed my best luck to you guys! And the rj mess, is exactly what it is. Seeing there are more rjs than mainline planes, i consider that a mess.
