I can't get Epic or eMaestro to work on my iPhone 4. But if you download the app, Opera Mini, they both work on there. I'm guessing there might be a Opera Mini browser for the iPad so try that.

I never had a problem getting on before I left and never had to change any settings.

Ex Comair left in '06....

What's the mood in the crew room and in the airplane these days? (other than the obvious bit.ch sessions!)

How are the Captains taking the news? (either their impending furlough or downgrade) It always seems that the FO's take it in the shorts, but in this situation it is even the senior Captains.

Has anyone flown with a super senior Captain that will be downgrading to FO? I would never have imagined a mid 1990's Captain ever having to fly SIC at Comair again!!

I had a Captain ask me once, "why do you want to upgrade? Where are you gonna go?" This was of course back in '04-'05 when no one was hiring. My response besides the blank astonished look, was "How about getting off Ramen noodles and not having to sit next to douches like yourself who had to spend maybe 10 minutes of their career here as an FO before your 2 day upgrade" I wonder how that guy will take being an FO?

I got direct words from a person in HQ that they don't expect furloughs until late next year at the earliest. Again, this is from one them and can obviously change at any time.

You mean like saying "we need to hire 300 pilots next week!" and then two weeks later saying "oh wait...we need to furlough 300 pilots next week."

Not surprised. They predicted about 35 furloughs after the system bid, but with the increasing pace we lose pilots these days, around 80 since August, I don't think anyone is going to be furloughed in 2011. If they stick with the numbers they gave us, I see it as more likely we have to recall later in the spring. If there's anyone left to recall....
I know for fact a number of pilots leaving in the beginning of next year. Guys that didn't take the buyout, but are leaving because they got hired somewhere else. We will lose a lot of pilots to other airlines in 2011. This is just the start of it.

So what you're saying is 18-month upgrades at Comair? Awesome!!!

I totally agree. That's why I'm sticking this one wave out. Get the feeling most of us will be ok for a while, just for the fact a lot of the "senior" guys will be moving on when the hiring spree begins.
Anyhow. hey flycrj200, give me a call.
