with all the people who are going to be getting the boot from Comair and all the hiring crazes with other airlines... our MEC should be working for some guaranteed class date deal with other regionals... flow across without the expense and time of interviews...

It's a backup plan in case my backup backup plan fails...
Get over yourself...the MEC should at best allow for preferential interviews, its the new company's right and responsibility to interview you. This allows them to see if you fit in their company culture, see if Comair missed something, etc. I think we all have enough friends at a company that is hiring(most of which are) that should be able to put an internal rec in which should go further than any ALPO agreement...
2007 - wasn't that the year after Comair entered hospice?
If you apply at Compass, ASA, Skywest, Or any of the other regionals that are hiring, I'm sure we will get the job. Why wait on the MEC to hand you a job. Why should any of these airlines hire you without having a chance to talk to you to see if you fit the culture of the airline. I'm sure you are more thatn qualified to fly the airplane, but do you fit the culture?
don't tell me you blew off the GoJets open house!

You would have to WATER BOARD me or put a gun to my head to go to another regional right now. I am going to hang around and see what happens. Maybe even be the last one to turn out the lights. Reserve on $40 an hour is still better than reserve on $20 an hour. I will be back to reserve in may is my guess. Gonna go get my ATP in the meantime since Comair screwed up and teased us with getting ours in the sim. Had my last checkride probably at Comair in Febuary.
