While I understand your point, the agreement I signed said said 25/check. It did not mention anything about the company closing. I don't see why I am basically being punished for the company closing...
It's like they think that since the company is closing they can just make up whatever rules they want.

Jesse they changed that plus they are balancing their books, so all charges you had on the account were brought to zero. I believe a new moa was issued since that furlough.

They changed what? The agreement that I signed? You can't just going around changing signed agreements willy nilly.

While I'm obviously not privy to the agreement you signed, I would expect that there was a clause, as is typical, that would allow them to deduct any remaining balance from your final paycheck if you separated from the company.

Pretty sure it said If "I" terminate employment then I am liable. "I" did not terminate anything... It was a poorly worded document.

The first question i'd ask - why do you feel you don't need to pay your debts?

That's what I would like to know too. Do you also charge up credit cards and expect not to pay them back as well?

It's not about not paying a debt. It's about sticking to the agreement I made.
Agreements work both ways.

Ah, so it's a matter of principle, not the money. File a lawsuit, then.

Do you have the agreement still? I'd be curious as to what it says.

Do you want them to send you a 25 dollar bill every month?
