The Horizon pilots will never forget the Comair pilots. For the 200 of us hired before 2002, we still owe you a beer anytime we're in the same bar.

Default Ug, I miss those RJ's

Well, we have all been through it. I have been to 3 different companies since the furlough. I am about to finally get a chance to hit the majors up for a job. If this does not pan out I may retire from aviation all together and figure out a new career path. Any suggestions on what my Aero Sci degree can get me in the real world?

JFK all the way... #Comair4Eva

It was a humbling day.

My thoughts go out to the families of all those affected by this tragedy.

I told this to a friend's son a couple of weeks ago.

When I started my airline career in 1979, American lost a DC-10 on takeoff in ORD. It was AA191.

The DL L-1011 that went down in DFW during a microburst was DL191.

If I'm not mistaken, the call sign on our 5191 was OH191.

Never forget!

There are those moments in life where you remember where you were and what you were doing when you learned about them. Challenger, Columbia, 9/11, and 5191 are among roughly a half dozen for me.

RIP to the victims. Condolences to the families. It still bothers me that the pilots of that flight were distracted from operating safely by concerns about their economic security, after the company had recently announced they would need concessions to maintain Comair's size.
