Comair updates?

Effective April 1, all pre-cleared Comair International arrivals will park at Concourse A (Gates A4, A6 and A8).
This change is part of an effort by Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection carriers to improve baggage numbers. As you know, bags from international arrivals have to be transported to TSA and screened before continuing on their connecting flight. These Concourse A gates are close in proximity to the TSA bag screening area, and therefore, should cut some time off the process and help ensure passengers travel with their bags.
Currently, this change impacts eight daily arrivals (six from Toronto-YYZ and two from Montreal-YUL) and one on Saturday from Nassau-NAS. Please note that the Sunday evening Cancun arrival will continue to go to Concourse B. This change may require some crews to change concourses during crew rotation. We have asked Crew Scheduling to take a look at these pairings and help us minimize these occurrences wherever possible.
Additional Upcoming Changes:
In addition, effective May 12, all CRJ-700 flights will join the CRJ-900 flights already at Concourse A and will be serviced via a jet way. This change will virtually eliminate crews swapping from A and C as they move between the 700 and 900. This change was originally communicated to crews last fall, and additional information will be communicated when we get closer to the actual implementation date.

Actually not. This date has been set for quite a while. Its the start of the summer CVG CS bid. That will allow ramp/gate staffing to match the changes in flight schedules. This has actually been in the works for a while now. Its good that they finally have it set in stone.

good news is only 5 traditional offered in May. There was an equivalent of 10 offered in april.
Additional Good news is alot of the cuts from the DCI carriers will be freedom out of MCO. I was reading an article yesterday that quoted a delta spokesperson saying that cuts in MCO would account for almost the entire 5% reduction in capacity. Im trying to find the article again but here are a few other for now. (Of course they could still cut comair flight hours and move freedom to our routes out of JFK)
