JPO, as a former ramp tower coordinator, we do appreciate that. I worked Orange team 3-4 days a week (gates 60-74 where ASA primarily flies) and prior to that I was over on Gold (concourse A) when ASA had the huge operation over there. I must say, ASA was fun to work. Crews were usually pretty cool, Flight Controllers in ATL were very flexible with our requests for plane changes, etc to streamline everything. I know there was talk of bringing the ATL ramp tower folks up to the CVG tower to see how we work their airline better than they do.

Plus, it was always fun to work with ASA's First Officer Crystal. Hopefully you know who I mean

Ha, yeah..I gotcha on that one C-157....I've actually deplaned everyone and went back to use the Lav and came out and the planes cleaned, catered, fueled bug washed/lav serviced...It's almost like being on vacation ( ALMOST )...Some ramps at ATL have got it together, RON is the main dude down in the south, man can work about 3 ramps at once. But your work is well appreciated!

Does anyone know why we are not able to look at open time? I just can not believe that we never have any open time available to look at. I’m sure that some pilots call in sick and are not able to fly the trips they are assigned. Where is the open time? I thought it is suppose to be posted for line holders to pick up any available flying before it is given to reserve pilots.

Planning decides when to make it public and when not to. During the SAW it obviously must be posted. They used to have it up a majority of the time, but lately it is never posted. I'm not exactly sure why. You can always call and ask scheduling or planning about time though.

NOTE TO ALL PILOTS:
The Flight Attendants have it written in their contract that open time must always be made public on SBS. Maybe we should learn from this....

Those bulletins go out to all the affected stations to let them now who and what type of equipment will operate the flights. I see Freedom got a crap load of reduced flying out of MCO and CVG. CHQ got some BOS flying and some MCO flying along with ASA.

Ive got a friend at mesa on the united side out of ORD. He says that there are 75 hard fo lines and only 42 fo's to cover that flying. Looks like they probably approached delta and told them they couldn't cover that flying. Problems covering thier flying on United Delta and USairways.

I didn't notice anything supremely special for Comair on the spreadsheets..did anyone else?

I did see we finally got that 90 to BUF that freedom cancels daily..now just for the ORD/DCA 90's that also x'd.

SuperPilotJesse, I too thought it would be cool to live and be based in New York, until I moved up there. After the first week I couldn't stand it at all and couldn't wait to move anywhere else besides New York. New York is a cool place to visit once or twice, but living there is terrible! Then again that is just my opinion, you do what makes you happy.
