I'm not so much annoyed at spending another $20 bucks a month. I'm more annoyed they all of a sudden said "Here, pay this!" and expect everyone to be tickled pink. Isn't this something that should have come up for vote? I also want a detailed description of where the money goes and how it's spent, as well as my money returned to me if and when the merger falls through.

Not to change the subject . . .

Does anyone have any experience with being reassigned during the schedule transition? I have read and re-read that section of the contract and can not find the loophole I need. If you have a second read 24.F. It is a fine way for the company to turn line-holders into reserves for the first few days of the month.

Do we need to bring our chart case for ground school?

Several people in my class did bring them, however mine continued to live in CVG ops. I would say it's a good thing to have, but not necessary. Enjoy the volcanic ash presentation!

Oh no....

Not again. Remember, you cant out climb a volcanic eruption. Your best bet is a 180.

Can I skip it?

You should just read your VAFTAD before every flight, then you won't have to worry about it.

Haha, now there's a word I haven't thought of since the college years. Has anyone actually used a VAFTAD?

Okay, so they sent out a reminder of the maint freq's in LGA, JFK, and BOS. Does this mean that maint will actually be listening to them now? I have tried many times to reach CVG maint ctrl on these freqs with no success.

Bubba, do you have any insight? I believe that you're not a MX Controller, but you sit right behind them.

As long as you are a member in good standing, you are more than welcome to swing by the MEC office and take a look at the books anytime you wish.

I still fail to see how they need 300,000 for this. When we were in BK, and getting our contract assaulted, they didn't need 300,000 bucks for whatever...the email even states that this money won't cover extensive legal fees, so I guess we can fork over more cash after they **** this money away.

I fail to see the need for 300,000 dollars...since there is not even a rumor that we (Comair) are merging with anybody...I'll be emailing my rep today to voice my objection.
