I emailed Selvaggio yesterday asking him about the 900's. He said that they are temporarily going to Pinnacle and then Mesaba will get them after the merger.

I dont know.... why would you? With all the payroll issues, furloughed pilots, and eMaestro fallout's J.S. took the time out of his day to let you, a single voiced email, know the DCI strategy concerning Freedoms 900's? And he put it in writing? Not his style- ever tuned into his Net Conferences? He does the carpet dance around every question asked by employees.

Just my opinion, and it is a highly skeptical one at that, but I think that is B.S.

Have you ever tried emailing him? I understand your skepticism, but until you email him to see for yourself then your opinion doesn't mean much. If you have tried emailing him then scratch that last sentence. You can believe what he says or not, that is up to you. I do not get on this forum to start rumors or be a part of any drama. I am usually either amused or completely annoyed at most of the trash talk I see here, but when I see a thread that is worth while (i.e. CRJ-900's going to 9E) I will take a part in the conversation.

I have tuned in to the last two net conferences. In my email I also addressed his response to low morale and eMaestro, and he elaborated. I was still rather unsatisfied with his response to morale. Regarding eMaestro, he said that no system is 100% fail safe when it is implemented. He also said that if we didn't start using it when it was 95% ready then we would have ahd another meltdown this summer.

The Team Summit, with the Vage was a soooo informative! I think I fell asleep at one point. DS was indisposed of, since he was at a meeting with ALPA. JFK crews, don't fear your CP was there to represent you! He asked about the UA flying of course since he want an ORD base. DF was there as well to keep the Vage straight. Lots of boring info from the different managers. They only left a half hour for questions. It was pretty quiet as far as questions. Got the real scoop on the -900 thanks to an inflight guy. JS said he asked Don three times to make sure Comair was going to get the Freedom -900s. Some penny pinchers at Delta questioned if it was wise to increase flying while oil prices were spiking. RA agreed and they were going to park the -900s for a bit. Oil prices have fallen and now they don't want to park the -900's, so they look who to place them with. Since it's now about cost, Pinnacle was in a possition to take the aircraft due to their cost structure and had the man power in place to fly them since they are ramping up to take the delayed deliveries in Jan.
Several questions about the merger and Comair. Mesaba, Compass and DCI reps were here yesterday discussing different topics such as operating systems and so forth. JS ackowledged that at one point there was merger talk coming from DL about merging Comair with either Compass or Mesaba and they went over merger scenarios. No merger for Comair! DL is more focused on their merger and making sure it goes through before they will deal with the wholly owneds.
