I hope the freedom flying becomes ours! I would think that this would open up a Chicago base since United is all on that side of things 8-)

Not quite all of the flying. They still operate the 900s out of JFK. I think New Guy was alluding to the Freedom 900's possibly coming our way and IF that happened then we would be opening a JFK base for the 70/90.

And flycrj200 is correct, New Guy did say it is not a question of IF but WHEN.

Right when I'm in differences training the threat of a JFK 70/90 base begins. I hate JFK with a passion......I would be miserabe if displaced up there

You wouldn't be "displaced" to JFK. They would technically be opening up a new base with new equipment, which would be subject to a bid. They wouldn't just move pilots over to JFK. There would be a bid. In the event that not enough slots were filled, they would either place new hires in that base in that equipment or junior assign pilots in reverse seniority order. You don't have to worry about being displaced there.

Don't forget 737 types for all pilots and a 100% salary increase

I think I was probably meant to be the 10th guy, but my TSA clnc didn't come through until today, so they pushed back to the June 2nd class!
