We also get 15% off at HP/Compaq. I've been using the same computer for 5 years, haven't had any problems yet.

Question on profit sharing...

If we make all our D05, A14, completion, baggage, etc. targets BUT Comair shows zero profit, do we get profit sharing?

If we fail to meet D05, A14, baggage, etc. BUT Comair shows a 10% profit, do we get profit sharing?

Anyone know the truth?

It's based off of their actual profit i think..nothing to do with a14 and d15 and all that...aside the fact that comair MAKES more money when they meet a14 and d15 yadda yadda

our profit sharing is based on Comair's "take home' if you will

That's the way I read it, but we get these memos urging us to "improve our on-time performance to trigger the next level of bonuses", etc.

There was one a couple months ago that said if we had something like six more on-time arrivals that quarter, we would have gotten more profit sharing.

I figure the memos were malarky.

The problem with the profit sharing is there's no way to audit it. Once a quarter someone rolls the dice somewhere and decides how much they want to bestow upon the employees they secretly detest.

No, that's correct..Delta pays Comair based on those completion factors and performance factors. So our "profits" are higher, when we meet those.

Sure, that's exactly correct.....only nevermind the very detailed emails they send out every quarter that break down every detail of the profit sharing (revenue, tax, expense, profit percentage, etc).

Doesn't exactly mean that the numbers are right.

Which again...are unaudited by us.

As Comair is a wholly owned entity of Delta, Comair's profitability is completely controlled by how profitable Delta needs Comair to be. There's a serious flaw with putting any amount of faith in the accuracy of numbers presented as "profit" or "expenses" in a corporate structure such as ours.
