Comair updates?

So with nwa and dal being one now when can I, a furloughed pilot, be able to fly on nwa again. I mean by the contract I should still be able to but that was ripped away from me without notice.

What did everyone do, or is planning to do, with regards to turning in OPS/STANDZ manuals and badges? If I get in to late or can get released early from my late reserve window I am coming home. I don't particularity care to spend the night in the crew lounge just so I can see a Chief in the morning. Any ideas or experiences?

Still have all mine since oct 5. Partly because I never got a furlough letter telling me what to do. haven't heard anything other than in relation to my previous post. I call the pass bureau on abput the 9th and that beach said yes you are now s3b and you are lucky I get that. The company is doing you a favor. The favor was I was stuck in atl while peoples pare ts got on before me. Thanks.

What the hell man?

Bastian said that regional subsidiary Comair would remain a part of the airline. Comair's future has been uncertain, in part because it flies 50-seat jets that are money-losers when oil prices are high. "Comair is an important part of the family, just as they've always been," he said.

you didn't think they would come here did you? Our top 300 guys have been here 14+ years. I don't know about Mesaba, but their most junior captain is from January of this year. Our most junior before the downgrade......try 2002.

He also said not to listen to the negativity just be patient. Who "left" the Comair Kool Aid 2 liter in Flight OPS? Oh Yeah baby!!!
If you can get on with Mesaba, I guess your doing good. I know personally some Comair pilots that were given the thanks but no thanks letter. Mesaba told them your not what were looking for. WTFrack????
I hope the merger means good things for the Comair, however......I'm nervous.

The top 300 at Mesaba have been here 9-27 years. During our bankruptcy, as we shrunk by HALF and over 200 pilots quit and another 220 pilots furloughed our average seniority went very high. Higher than it was before Ch11. THen NWA grew us and we replaced most of our fleet and then some. We also doubled in size in 1.5 years and as of 10/20 just over half the list has been here since April of 07.
So you can see how our seniority list evolved in such a short time. This is why our costs are low and are attractive to DL. Unfortunately many paid hard price for these "rewards" today.
