well we all know that ontime numbers are bogus, my watch says 8:01, the other guys watch says 7:59, the airplane says 8:02.... i think its 5 o'clock somewhere, so all of these ontime numbers are just a bunch of bull if you ask me.

Not to start another argument, but Comair also has the pleasure (for me anyway since it's home) of working out of JFK.

For the month of October, Comair was second in completion and third in On Time Departures, Arrivals within 14 minutes, and baggage amongst all of the DCI carriers. Freedom was last in completions and 6th (of 7) in Departures, Arrivals, and baggage.

And October only had four days at most that affected weather at JFK.

There were tons of voice recorded calls to the SOC to cancel flights because Delta wanted to use that slot for their own 75's and 76's because obviously they could get more passengers to their destinations. Also, Mesa was/is operating in a tough JFK environment. Have you looked at JetBlue's performance stats? Bottom of the barrel. Not their fault though. I know a lot of people hate Mesa for one reason or another but this issue is not their fault and they have had good operational performance for Delta. Currently they are operating somewhere around a 99.6% ontime performance for Freedom, well above what the contract dictates. When the court case is all said and done we will all see that Mesa was in the right here.
Do you know what an "injunction" is? Mesa/Freedom didn't win anything. They were granted a temporary injunction, which in layman's terms means that they successfully (with the aid of the court) prohibited Delta from canceling their contract until the dispute can be taken to trial.

Mesa's/Freedom's performance is abysmal in JFK there is no denying that. You know how many times I have heard them calling out "on time" when they are over 30mins late. They have started fudging times ever since delta threatened to cancel them. Freedom simply has a poor product, and Delta has had enough.

If you want clear winners and losers, go and read up on the Aloha Vs. Mesa court case and what the outcome was. Although Aloha was granted a hearing by the courts they ultimately lost the war, filing for bankruptcy earlier this year.

Mesa Airlines clearly counted Alohas demise as a victory, so I really have no sympathy when I see them teetering on the cusp of bankruptcy, and loosing flying contracts.

The faster Mesa airlines "Go"es out of business, the better we will ALL be off in the long run.

Pretty sure you mean Hawaiian's lawsuit.

While you are correct that Aloha passenger service has ceased, their lawsuit is not supposed to be heard until April I believe.

I forgive you.

Yes I do know what an injunction is and they are very hard to be "granted." Obviously the judge thought there was solid enough evidence to say hey I think for the time being until the entire case can be heard Big Daddy Delta needs to pay Mesa their $20 mil a month.

I'd also like you to show me any airline that doesn't fudge their times!

So, are you admitting that Freedom fudges their times?

Perhaps their performance really is as bad as it seems?

No WstCstCmtr was actually correct the Hawaiian suit is what has already gone to court and been settled back in April: Mesa Air settles suit with Hawaiian Airlines | Arizona Business, personal finance, technology news for East Valley and Phoenix | eastvalleytribune.com

The Aloha case goes to court in the spring of next year.

Dont worry..... I now forgive you.

I'm not admitting anything as I do not work for them. I don't know what their business practices are. I'm saying that I have seen several airlines out there that have fudged their times and talked with several guys that do it as well. So I would just like you to show me an airline that doesn't do it...
