How is this guaranteed? 75%? So your company pays you and the staff then goes to call with the figures and call pays them 3/4 of the bill? Sounds fishy that a company would pay a completely seperate company's bills for no reason. Or you guys trying to say that because you fly for them you're paid per flight and 75% of your flying is for CAL thus 75% of your income comes from them? If that's the case than 100% of RAH is guaranteed as we don't do branded.

75% of our business is Continental Express flying, until CAL cancels the CPA or further reduces the amount of A/C we fly under the Continental name, we are guaranteed a certain amount of money for the flying we do. We get paid per completion of the flight whether its oversold or no one shows..........

well, if CAL struck up a long term deal with us and lets say extended the CPA until 2015 then that of course would beat a pro-rate deal, however I dont think CAL will do that, but what they might do is strike up a long term deal that is pro-rated so we would share some of the risks with certain routes, less of a risk for CAL. I feel this PRO-RATE type of thing is going to start to become a trend now that the Majors are making money and they no longer need to rely as much on the regional world.

We are having a big announcement on Monday, I'll bet anything CAL cancels the whole CPA, and we sign a long-term Pro-Rate deal.

Get off the "Expressjet is in deep Sh*t bandwagon", things are always changing and we have a much brighter management team than Colgan, I wouldn't worry so much about us and I would start to worry about your new leader and the fact that you don't have a union, while your at I would worry about your payrates as well...........
Saab, XJT is not in deep shyt. But they're not in a good spot either. You do have a great management team. But why would they be exploring options to move airplanes? Because the branded stuff is going well? NO.

But, everyone warned you guys about branded flying. You're management team though..."Hey who doesn't want to fly nonstop from Jacksonville to Tulsa?" The answer is EVERYONE.

Don't you think that if it was a profitable, promising route that other airlines would have already been on it.

And the best thing...how much you pilots are whoring yourself out for. ExpressJet (XJET) branded flying is no longer a regional airline. You are a major airline, flying your own routes under your own banner with your own gates. And you're willing to do it for $23 dollars an hour! But the employees over there are so starry eyed ..."we have an amazing contract, management loves us". Wake up XJET pilots, demand more.

Like I said, good luck XJET employees- this is only the beginning.

Saab- your business model is VERY similar. The problem with your branded stuff is- no one wants to go where your guys are flying. Poor load factors equal unhappy stockholders.

Dont talk to us about our pay, we practically lead the pay for 50 seaters................

Our management is cutting back thin routes, overall load factor is 51%, thats not too bad, and L/F is not as important as how much the tickets are.

And again our business model is not similar at all other than the a/c size.........

I would rather work with "starry-eyed" people who believe in their management than an apathetic group like your bunch.......

And from what I understand these planes would not be coming from the branded side, they would be purchased...............

You'd have to convert first. I looked into it, around $20k or so a few years ago from what I remember.

not if the aircrafts were US registered, we would just need a work visa, which I understand is very difficult to get, unless some Aussie firm or partner airline paid for it.

I dont think any of this will ever happen
