Yet just like PSA we have our share of the senior guys (15 plus years) who rather stay put and compalin and make it more miserable for us then to do something about it. Thus the reason we all should go into any of these regionals with the attitude get our time and get out. None of these places are where we SHOULD want to retire.

What regional pay are you looking at? Both PDT and PSA are subpar as far as pay and work rules.

Regionals in GENERAL are all sub par as far as pay and work rules.

Wasn't when the contract was signed. You also forget you're still working under a concessionary contract. My last W2 in the right seat showed 36 and some change before Uncle Sam got his. No open time on that W2 either, with 1 JM, and 1 extension. Wasn't too bad for a regional flying Dashes, but not enough to feed a family on either.

PDT is far from sub par on work rules as well. My only gripes were junior mans, no taxi pay, and half credit for DH's. Most other regionals are / were similar are worse. I can't speak for PSA, but as regional contracts go, PDTs isn't bad. It is easily a very good starting point for something even better.

What are you other pool swimmers thinking of doing now? After that BT e-mail yesterday, looks like I'll be instructing for awhile yet (the down side of getting hired with practically no hours is that no one else will pick you up). Any thoughts of where to go now folks?

I think the problem is that we are spending more time at regionals before moving on to a major. Regional airlines weren't designed to have 5-10 year F/O's. I just finished a three day trip and my duty time was 36hrs. Most people work that in a 5 day work week. And i only got paid for 17. Our work rules need to be changed right away. The FAA isn't doing crap for our fatiqued. The rules say that we can fly 16hrs. Our contract says 14 but it can be extended to 15. And that is what the company is doing. Rather than having an odd day of 13-14hrs, we get many days that long. The only thing that is going to change our pathetic long working days is too call in fatiqued.
Also Doug P. is happy as he can be right now because of our on time performance. It means that wall st. likes US Airways and that people will now lend them money. The only way we can get better schedules and better work rules is too have a week of **** poor on time performance.
Leave 15 late and arrive 15 late. Right away you will see a difference.

No, they're not.... I lost a JS on American because the gate agent didn't know how to work their computer system, and they wouldn't listen to me.... It isn't the first time I've jump seated with AA and I usually let them try it themselves once then I tell them how to enter the info for CASS and it works out fine.

I did make it home on the next flight and I am grateful for that.
