Right, so if we say no to the deal and they decide to park the rest of the dashes and merge us with another wholly owned like PSA or Eagle, I guarantee you we will get screwed in a seniority integration because we are so incredibly small and senior (310 active pilots last time I checked). All I'm saying is for other groups to show a little goodwill and unity and maybe turn some of our senior guys and gals to a no vote.
Let me give you some perspective on PDT and especially our more senior pilots. They see airlines like Republic and Mesa that have seen growth at their expense, and don't trust a single thing they say. From their perspective they see Mesa, PSA RAH for years get shiny new jets, take their flying and grow, 2-3 year upgrades flying on awful contracts, and now all of a sudden the music stops, party is over. No one take anymore shiny jets and shame on you for thinking about it. In their minds we are due some good news here at PDT. Not even necessarily good news, just Fing NEWS! There is no vision of the future here, we are just slowly fading into oblivion. As was said in the letter from our MEC chair, we are hoping to come out of this meeting with some sort of idea about what AAG has planned for us. If they want us to fly new aircraft, merge with another carrier, bleed out with a flow to American, or just shut us down, we are hoping for an answer in a couple weeks. From there we can respond.
I'm just tired of reading comments from snot nosed RJ pilots that think they have PDT figured out. These pilots btw are the same ones that gladly signed up to fly an RJ for awful pay and work rules at places like RAH and try and hide under the umbrella excuse of ,"well, we're turning it around". I applaud RAH for their recent TA vote but for a lot of guys here at PDT the damage has already been done in lost wages and lost careers.

PDT will take any deal offered them by Parker. That's a forgone conclusion. They'll go for the shiny jets and couldn't care less about the rest of the industry. The senior lifers don't want to wrap up their careers on Dash-8's and the F/O's are ravenous for an upgrade, especially to a jet. Parker knows he'll be able to lowball PDT pilots so bad it makes sense to put as few as 10 jets there, if only for whipsaw purposes.
Nothing to see here, time to move on.

Well said BSOuthisplace.
eaglefly . . . Piedmont might very well vote yes to a TA, if offered one. They also may very well vote no. This is one pi$$ed off pilot group who has gotten dumped on for over a decade, and many of them have very strong convictions towards scumbag concession-taking self-absorbed pilot groups. (I'm still mighty skeptic that Piedmont will be offered anything) However, you are so far off the mark that Piedmont pilots don't care about the rest of the industry, and FO's are ravenous for shiny jet upgrades. I can tell you that most Piedmont pilots could care less what equipment they are flying. They want job security (a future), and decent pay/quality of life. If you take a look at Piedmont's past history, you'll see that they haven't caved, and w hored themselves out for shiny jets. That is why they're dying. They were one of the few that didn't jump on the race to the bottom. I'd say that shows how very much they do value this profession, and how much they do care about this industry.

He's expressing his personal opinion. Eaglefly is not known for flamebaiting, but he also has some strong opinions, and expresses them without reservation.
He's former AE, by the way. Up until a few years ago. He's at AA now, but has hung onto his screen name.

All this is a joke now PDT is getting blame for all the problems RAH, MESA, PSA and Colgan created in the past.
PDT stay strong stay together and don't let others decide your future
