Please. You know exactly what I'm talking about, and that's a very poor rationalization.

No I don't! Explain it??? We have a great working contract, Great Health Care, Low upgrade time, A flow! Pay rates that are still better then many. So explain what you think the bar should be????

You better get on the phone and call the Spirit Pilots, Alligiant Pilots, Virgin Pilots, Frontier Pilots, and tell them thanks for lowing the bar as well.

You could stand outside of our recruiting office and tell the people lined up to come here how we're lowering the bar.

I'd like to know as well. Seems they are keeping the bar at status quo to me. Certainly could be worse, and has been at some other carriers.

Yes, but it's kind of funny when someone that's trying to get a job at Frontier is on here talking about lowering the bar. I mean Really????

Come on' man!!! Right csh405?

Short term gain does not equal long term gain. Anything you concede is the new normal, no mater how small and the next company has to go even lower than that to "play the game" as you nobily put it. Then when it comes back around to you, you have to go even lower than them.

You can turn a blind eye to it because you have quick upgrades now, but it's gonna come back to bite you.

What's gonna happen when you're at mainline and they say well give you raises for more scope relief? Will you say 'sure!' Because it gives YOU a benefit at the time? Your stupidity honestly scares me.

What do you think would have happened if all three of us voted down any concessions? We'd all be shutdown? Give me a break. We've all been played because of short sightedness just like yours.
You're looking at the regionals being more then they are. Hence why I said we are all pawns in a big game. Isn't ALPA national suppose to keep us united?? However each year they sign off on deals that aren't improvements over other carriers. Why can't each regional that signs a new contract have it better or equal to the best? Shouldn't be worse right?? It's a game and we as pilots looking to get to a major are willing to play it to get 'ours'. I still remember when Mesa bought CCAir and listening to the Mesa pilots excited that CCAir was about to be shut down and they'd all get the flying and upgrade faster. Really??? Where's ALPA? Where's the unity in the Union?? The day ALPA was involved in the mix which happened between ALG, PDT and PSA I lost all faith and at that point knew it's all a game. It's a big club and guess what? We aren't part of it.
Like I said, "Don't hate the player, Hate the game." And if you don't understand that I got nothing for you.

If you're so worried about lowering any bar, then why in the hell would you apply to Frontier??? Wait, is it a temporary stop that's better then AWAC before you get to a Major??? Doesn't that make you just as much part of the problem???

Everyone looks for instant gratification and best and fastest way to get to a major. Do you know why Piedmont could get pilots 2 years ago even with a great contract and pay?? Because of a 5-7 year upgrade and no future and old planes. You know why AWAC being the best paying regional and a great contract is having trouble getting pilots today?? 4-5 year upgrade and no future and old planes.

It's the same old story over and over again. Best advice today is a find a regional with an easy commute, fast upgrade time, good contract. Go there get your PIC and get the hell out. That's it.

You lowered the bar by taking inferior jet rates (lower than your Dash rates) in exchange for taking someone else's jets. That's lowering the bar. I mean, literally, it couldn't be a better definition.

Yep it's a game, and someone else would've stepped right in to take them. Envoy was gonna shrink period! Compass has 20 of your 175s right?? Another has some of your 145s, right???
I'd bet they'd love to take more and would have if Envoy like every other regional not had played the game.
