Wonder what Alpa and the midwest pilots will be able to do about this one. Might even be historical for alpa. A regional flying mainline jets, it's finally happened.

[QUOTE]Most people go to the regionals to build time and move on to a major. Which is my goal. I want nothing to do with a 190 until I'm at a major.[QUOTE]
guess what...the 190 isn't going to be at the majors much longer now. why have major pilots at major payscales fly them when RAH will do it for NOTHING. I know, I know...you're negotiating new rates. Too late IMHO. How are the majors who have these aircraft (or anything that seats close to 100) going to have any leverage to move their rates upwards? You know RAH rates aren't going to be better than jetblue or USscareways. (If you guys can pull that off I WILL apologize) this effects the majors as well as the regionals and those who can't see that should be ashamed of themselves.
your company (along with yourself and your coworkers who excepted the job, and the contract that came with it) has/have screwed your hopes of moving onto a major, along with everyone else. you and everyone else are now going to be stuck at the regional level for who knows how many more years. its now that much longer that you have to work on a lower pay scale as both a captain and first officer. plus, as the regional airlines continue flying larger aircraft (these are only the first), there is one less fleet type at the majors for everyone else to fly.
lastly, I think its funny for skypest folks, or anyone else flying 70+ seat aircraft for that matter, to be giving you guys crap...they all started the bar falling...RAH is just helping bring it down another level. I'll reserve the right to start calling you scabs for when the time is right...because as soon as midwest walks, you WILL fit the definition.

What needs to happen but won't is all RAH pilots need to boycott bidding for the plane and all furloughs bypass as well.

Seriously, can we even put RAH in the "regional" category anymore. I think not. (FO pay...yes Category...not so much)
also, their captain and f/o pay blows.

How can we not blame the pilot group? Here at PSA we had the option to take on CRJ900s back in the day for a ZERO pay raise. Along with other reasons we said HELL no. How can you sit back and say RAH does not have the same opportunity to say, "HELL NO" to this?
And sorry but SCAB comes pretty close here. Maybe you arent crossing a picket LINE, however Midwest guys who fly a plane with one fewer seats then you will be are out of a job. They had better pay rates, better work rules, better schedules etc. By them saying NO to flying these E175s that were all but forced down their throat put them out of a job. On the same note, you are all now saying YES to flying these two new planes (with options for more) for a lesser pay rate. Other then you arent ONE pilot group, you are basically crossing the LINE. Sorry SCABS! Just like Gojets.

They are already flying for midwest to outsource the 3/4 furloughed, what makes you think they'll boycott this. It doesn't matter if it's the 170 or the 190 the principle is all the same. It's going to be a real test for ALPA..

Totally unbelieveable how Republic Airlines is happily taking the jobs of more Midwest Pilots by agreeing to fly the E-190 for Midwest. They are now Scabs by definition.
To you Republic guys: enjoy trying to find a jumpseat, and you can probably kiss your dreams of being hired at a major goodbye as well. Once a scab, always a scab.

I know who you are and if I recall buddy, RAH was where you wanted to Go! You didn't get hired by RAH and It seems you're a bit Bitter! SCAB come on Paul! Fact is Every Regional has AT SOME POINT taken some's better paying jobs! All U guys can sit on your high horse and pretend that You regional airline don't take more responsibly than My airline or the next person's regional airline! You guys are so one tracked minded and would jump on any bandwagon! Noone over here is happy about this, we don't even have 100seat pay rates in the Contract. So before these planes Ever get flown there's some work to do!
