If I were at any regional, wholly owned or not, I would be ready for anything. If you think youre more safe @ a contract carrier vs a wholly owned you're already setting yourself up for trouble.

considering 7 of your previous 10 posts are on this thread and your first post on APC was yesterday, i think it's safe to say your a flamer...
MAIR owned Mesaba before NW did. Mesaba filed for bankruptcy....MAIR did not. A subsidiary can file for bankruptcy while the parent company can stay out.

I've heard from some people up in Eagan that Mesaba is last in customer satisfaction. Everyone knows how Delta feels about customer satisfaction. If Mesaba wants to be around as a player and have more than 500 pilots on property they better find a way to make people happy. Judging by the latest Union email it looks like they are at least admitting there is a problem.

Thats all fine and dandy, until delta cancels that contract and buys 16 more......then they can put them wherever they want

They could send Mesaba right back into bankruptcy very quickly. You can say good bye to all the snap backs and they already got PBS so I can't imagine what they would go for next. I'm sure you would rather be at Mesa now "A Contract Carrier".
Your posts are very ignorant and an indication of your lack of knowledge about the industry. You do not even understand the basics of corporate bankruptcy. I suggest getting off the Microsoft flight simulator and do some reading.

I heard Mesaba was getting every 900 in the delta system ... see indapit, I can say random junk too... For everyone else, I didn't hear this or any other rumor. Just pointing out once again that this guy joins APC to spout baseless rumors that no one else has heard and then proceeds to fight that it COULD happen, yes I agree any company at any time COULD declare bankruptcy... doesn't mean they will. As for "Delta Pilot types" having hear this A) I really really really wouldn't put it past a large percentage of delta pilot types to confuse Mesa with Mesaba, and to be fair they have the same four letters.... B) anybody who has been in the airline industry for more than 2 seconds understands that the pilots are the LAST to know about ... well pretty much anything. This also goes for sim instructors and check airmen. And that's within their own company, Pilots having any idea of the future of their subsidiary, just not freakin likely.

The whole thing is flamebait, I'm done.

I suggest you check your source before stating it as facts. Mesaba was not the last, and there is huge difference in customer satisfaction between aircraft types Mesaba operates. Customer satisfaction on CRJ900s is overall very good on par or better than the other DCIs. This is one of the reason Saabs are being parked by DAL. DAL do not like turboprops and have made it known that they intend to turn Mesaba into an all jet fleet by 2012, if not sooner. Actually according to Mesaba management, Mesaba will probably lose all Saabs by 2011.

RA said in several different interviews, that he intend to keep majority of DAL feeder lift in-house in the future. DAL management has been saying it now for several years that they intend to reduce the number of DCI carriers flying for them from 9 down to 5 or 4. You connect the dot. A reasonable conclusion that follows from this is that DAL will probably shed Chautauqua/Republic, Mesa, and another DCI carrier which at this time is not clear. What is clear is Mesaba and Compass will be the likeliest candidate to remain standing when all this speculation and dust settles.

On the topic of this absurd rumor that XJ is filing bankruptcy, I checked this rumor with the management types and I was laughed at like I was an idiot. I will say, however, that I have been approached by DAL gate agents and several pilots, who have no background in Regional flying, asked me if Mesaba is filing bankruptcy, and I told them no. After a little discussion, it was clear they mistook Mesa with Mesaba. As of today, there is evidence that Mesaba intends to file bankruptcy. This is about as likely as Compass or SkyWest filing bankruptcy.

I am pretty sure if you read my post again that I did not state it as fact. Here I will quote it here for you again and bold the important parts:

I've heard from some people up in Eagan that Mesaba is last in customer satisfaction.
With that being said, I trust my source. Have you noticed that this year the big push in management is to improve customer satisfaction? Have you seen all the red dots along the customer satisfaction areas?
