You getting recalled yet or what? After flying that light twin of yours , the jet is going to seem boring.
I hope they prove you right on that.

Oh, and speaking of light twin, I had an FO get really honestly ****ed off when a Jetlink called us a "light twin" on ground a couple months back.

My response: "Well, it is." Probably didn't help.

By the way guys, this really honestly sucks. RAH and Colgan...taking over the world one airline at a time. I've got a former student who's getting the axe over at Lynx soon because of this...really sorry this is all going down.

When Republic levied a $150mil claim for the cancellation of contract and then loaned Frontier $40mil, the deal was done.
No one is placing blame on the Frontier pilots, but rather questioning the logic behind their decision. I disagree with you. I think they could have influenced the outcome in favor of Southwest. It was a noble choice if done with other groups and brand preservation in mind, but I think everyone saw the writing on the wall. Mr. Bedford is doing everything he can to tear apart the infrastructure at the acquired carriers, and we all knew or had a feeling that this was the direction he was going take.

Sorry about that, but I hope he realizes it's all in good humor. We get called a barbie jet, mini jet, jungle jet among others by mainline all the time, and we mostly laugh about it. Who cares? It's about the paycheck and quality of life.

You should tell him Aeroflot is hiring I'm sure he would make a fine addition to their group.

So if I understand this correctly, the Lynx guys will get furloughed, and they recall all of the Republic pilots back and then call the Lynx and Midwest pilots to be placed at the bottom....how long would the Lynx pilots be furloughed?

HAHA, I heard a A320 in CLT call a CRJ900 a baby jet and the captain came on and said, "actually, we are a large small jet." It was pretty funny

RAH is the only airline taking over other airlines... Pinnacle is no way near RAH. SKW might take over the new and improved Mesa after exit from BK or RAH might go for that bid too.??? 9E is a small player in this game... They are soon to be the new bottom feeder.

Like the 767 guy who said "we'll follow the RJ (ERJ-190,us airways mainline)".

RJ pilot's response "we're an Embraer, NOT an RJ"...

Same pay as an RJ, and for a lot less than the F100 (mainline RJ back in the day)

Funny, but tragic at the same time.

i hope the cost benifit of removing the Q400's and having an all 170/190 and im guessing a 145 fleet doing those routes is greater than what the Q would have saved on fuel burn.

as for the pilots they will be working with in the republic system so they will still have jobs.
