Agreed

It will also be nice when Delta and United drops them out of spite for becoming competitors with the money they were paid.

How are the loads at Lynx?

Is it true that your routes are inferior to the jet as the RAH CEO puts it?

I can't say that I am surprised since Lynx would be an additional at risk operation that is not necessary for RAH but I would have thought it was one of the only RAH ops that was making consistent profits.

I know this horse has been beaten to death so I won't beat anymore, except to say that I think its about time RAH guys stopped trying to justify their company and just admit that they are signal handily stunting the careers of all they are furloughing, all currently in the industry that want to move on to somewhere better, and those that have paid their dues and were looking forward to a nice retirement. Just makes me sick, but hey, FLAME ON.

Republic pilots are doing this? Most pilots don't deserve good money because they're so irretrievably stupid. Apologies Otto. . .

Lynx pretty much got screwed every which way. Needed at least 20 aircraft to be stand alone profitable but that plan was dropped once Frontier declared chapter 11. The Q was then sent into Airbus markets like ABQ, SLC, OKC etc to help out. Then the Southwest "decision" was made with no input from the Lynx side of things. It was pretty obvious that the Lynx operation wouldnt hold up to any financial analysis as it was never even close to its potential- if an analysis was ever conducted that is.

Talk about a sudden death! At least Delta was kind enough to drag out Comair's demise for a decade. This blows - best of luck to BB's newest victims.

This is another such move, and I'm sure 75% of them are supportive of this decision.
Absolutely not true. How many people do you know from RAH? 5-10? You degrade your point by making broad generalizations about a large group of pilots.

My condolences to the guys at Lynx. Hopefully integration will go smoothly and you'll be back to work quickly. The company mentioned a few days ago the possibility of hiring of the street in 2010.

What I find that is interesting is that regardless of the airplanes, integration will happen and seniority will fall where it lies.

They are replacing all these aircraft with larger embraer products, which may improve the QOL for some of these crews.

Once they finally get back which may be a while, they'll have access to new routes, longer legs, more productivity, which equals more days off and a better schedule.

Not too mention, even though f/o and captain pay is still low at Republic on the 145/170/190 I believe each one of the pilots who will be stuck in their respective seats will receive HIGHER pay.....

What a concept, actually add more planes that will yield higher AVERAGE INCOME for ALL PILOTS AT RAH....

Many people loved the Q as its great, but Mergers/Acquisitions suck and this is still a gain for the company.

For all the haters, i guess maybe since the Q is much more efficient RAH will be out of business in a few years and you can hate some more.....sorry to the Lynx guys, but this will be better for all in the LONG RUN...IF RAH survives
