Lynx killed off

E-170/190's in Aspen? Have fun.
I would love to see the plan for a balked landing on 15. In the Q200 it was a hard left 180 degree turn, and having done it, wasn't exactly "casual." And we were doing it at V2+10, or 115ish knots.
I would also like to see the numbers for a 10-15 knot tailwind departure off 33. I bet they'll be bumping paying folks left and right to get the stopping margins they need.
Is the 170 more of a performer than I think it is?
Sorry to all the Lynx folks. Good people, great product. This coming from someone whose been completely hosed by an incompetent CEO. I know the feeling.

I think you're missing the point, Bedford is tearing these companies from the inside out, replacing the labor, and selling the assets, just as Lorenzo did in the 80's. Seeing as you work for the man, I would be concerned that in a few years you might be costing the man too much, and he'll have to "re-structure" and you may find yourself at the bottom of somebody else's list.
Honestly, you guys need to take a look at the bigger picture here. I have no ill feelings towards the RAH guys or any other group for that matter, but you can't just justify and dismiss Bedford's actions as "business as usual", you could be next!

This is the man who took them from "aviation university CFI" (lots of Purdue grads) and got a lot of them into the left seat of a "baby 737" in 1-2 years.
For 50% of those guys, life at RP has been gravy from day one. Until they get displaced, furloughed, and have their pay cut, they will continue to trust BB to do whatever is necessary to keep their jobs secure.
This is another such move, and I'm sure 75% of them are supportive of this decision.

The Employee FAQ, is even worse:
Q Will Lynx flight crews be able to fly other Republic aircraft?
A Lynx pilots and flight attendants would be able to fly for other units of Republic after the pilot and flight attendant seniority lists for all Republic companies are integrated, as required by statute, and after all higher seniority pilots and flight attendants are recalled from furlough.

I am so sorry for you all. This entire thing is just disgusting. I wish you all the best. Take care and KEEP SMILING!!

This is absolutly ridiculous. Again I don't blame RAH pilots at all (although it is a bit obnoxious running into more and more of them that are excited about what's going on at the expense of hundreds of jobs lost) but what their company is doing is the downfall of our profession. I know this horse has been beaten to death so I won't beat anymore, except to say that I think its about time RAH guys stopped trying to justify their company and just admit that they are signal handily stunting the careers of all they are furloughing, all currently in the industry that want to move on to somewhere better, and those that have paid their dues and were looking forward to a nice retirement. Just makes me sick, but hey, FLAME ON.

Any Purdue grads hired in between those two groups, and there were more than a couple, came from places like Trans States or Piedmont or Air Wisconsin and easily met the 1500/300 mins.
Back to your regularly scheduled point-making...

Bryan Bedford is a real class act. I blame no one for this but himself and his "team." To all the original people at Frontier, thank you for making my time there awesome. I truely hope the frontier pilots do WHATEVER is needed to not allow this virus of a company to hurt what you guys have built. I hope BBs plan FAILS, which I believe it really will.
Good luck in the future to everyone at Lynx, and I really look forward to flying with all of you again.

I don't think you have to hope much, just read the news. Airtran just opened a MKE domicile to go along with their expansion, and SWA has gradually been increasing their presence in both markets. It's unfortunate, because if RAH "branded" is eliminated, many good folks that don't want anything to do with the reverend's way of doing business will lose their jobs.
I rather hope that the RAH pilots (all of them Frontier, Midwest, and regional) get a really good contract, and fair integration of the seniority lists.
