But its quite obvious that nothing will pound that fact into your already made-up mind.

Gentlemen,
Lets not make this about who's taking who's flying and which regional is bigger than the other. Our fellow brothers and sisters are loosing their jobs unfortunately due to BB's decision. How about we focus our energy on helping them find new positions at regionals that are hiring (Skywest, Colgan, Eagle etc...).

Your post should have started out as: No regional pilot except Republic pilots, should want an increase in flying at the expense of mainline jobs. Look in the mirror. You and yours are the replacements. You are the problem. You are the reason Lynx pilots are losing their jobs.

I thought that the only reason why the judge decided that is because SWA management had a stipulation that SLI needed to be completed first and that since FAPA and SWAPA didn't complete SLI and SWA management didn't remove the stipulation, that their offer was invalid. In other words, if there would have been an SLI agreement between FAPA an SWAPA, the SWA offer would have been valid.

Most pilots beleive that they are the sole reason all management decisions decisions are made. This is another example. Truthfully, the pilot integration issue was maybe 1% of the deal. The other 99% of the SWA offer was filled with conditional language on everything from load factor to oil prices, to staffing decisions that WN wanted 6 months of due dilligence to make sure they really wanted to acquire F9 with many opt out clauses along the way. When they realized the RAH offer was clean and ready to close within weeks, they realized they had no shot of acquiring F9 due to their very seedy offer. When they realized they were unprepared for such an acquistion, they had to save face. Kelly told SWAPA to to halt SLI talks, offer something FAPA would reject (Staple) and they could back out and save face by looking like heroes by protecting their employees interest rather than being laughed out of court by Judge Drain for such a ridiculous offer when another better offer was on the table. As usual, everybody on these forums thinks the pilots could have decided the fate of these two companies, when the reality is, they had 1% of the vote...if they were lucky.

If our situation is grim, it is worse for the Midwest pilots. It is a much lower step down from where they were than for us at Lynx. Commuting for a right seat job at any regional is out of the question and I'm not holding my breath that any integration with republic will be acceptable.
I do not see it as the RAH pilots fault, but without them we would not be looking at a furlough. We are not being shutdown due to a lack of outside flying, the flying we were doing for Frontier has been given to another.
Dirty Rat, can I borrow your old tagline "Whacked by Republic" since your not using it anymore?
