Unless we drastically increase flying this summer (aka win the UAL RFP for Mesa's flying) expect to come back next Spring.

The vote closes in mid-March. That's too late for the April bid cycle, so I don't think that it will go live until the August bid cycle.

Comair send out around 43 recall notices in November, and about 20ish came back, the rest were voluntary furloughs that elected to bypass. We still got 313 pilots on furlough. We are also hoping for recalls, but don't see it happening. Being owned by DL sucks, losing more airplanes and having contract negotiations coming up won't help us either...

...Not sure what's going on at RAH, but they probably want to get their own guys back before they integrate seniority lists...

...Eagle is recalling and hiring because they are getting 22 new RJs...

...Mesaba is in the same boat as Comair. Lot's of "inefficent" airplanes and a senior pilot group...

...Compass is hiring because they are increasing the utilization of the airplanes, and they only have the 76-seaters and a junior pilot group compared to the other wholly-owneds. Hopefully their flow-through will work, otherwise I see Compass turning into OH and XJ.

THEN we have Colgan that is hiring and GoJet that took a buncha UAL guys late last year......
...We all know why Colgan is hiring and growing, no need to comment on that.

Flying for Delta sucks, and it sucks even more if you are owned by them. There are simply too many DCI carriers and I don't understand having all these contract carriers when you own 3 regionals. Delta likes to switch up the flying amongst DCI carriers.

It "seemed" like things were getting slightly better about a month ago with some regionals recalling and doing some limited hiring, but then NetJets dropped a big bomb, followed by ASTAR and now UPS.

Mesaba's pilot group is a lot more junior than most DCI carriers.

UAL is still adding more 50 seaters? Everyone else is parking them and UAL is adding them

The bottom is getting more and more senior with every furlough. When it is all over with (the Saabs are all gone) I would think Mesaba would be the most senior of all the carriers.

I realize this was a response to Avi8trix and they might be senior on the furlough list. I was just wondering if you are just basing this on attrition continuing as it has over the last year or so?
