Netvets, I guess I don't understand your ire at JA. Is he trying to get around your scope, or is he asking you to give it up or lose the deal?

I would understand being ****ed at him if he tried to ignore it or circumvent in in a tricky way, but what is unfair about asking for scope relief or backing out?
If your MEC caves, that's where your blame needs to go, not JA. If they don't cave, then you're back where you started, yes?

I think some people just live to blame Skywest no matter what the reality is.

What the hell are you talking about?!

For the last 13 pages, Nevets has been simply trying to say that we have a contract and we want our contract honored..... That's it.

You got Slaphappy and Capt. Tony on here saying we should just roll over and take it in the can...... Screw it, ignore our contract.....

If Jerry wants to negotiate, fine..... So far, from the Bogeyman everybody has made him out to be on here, I half expect to find him in my house tonight eating my dog.

I expect someone from SKYW not to understand contracts and their importance.

But for you, Capt Tony, a brother and someone (at least you claim) to have helped organize. You ought to be ashamed, Bro. Your posts regarding this have been garbage.

How about this:

We want to uphold our scope section. He wants to trample it.
Tell me how asking for scope relief is "trying to trample it". Is he holding a gun to your head? Trying to use legal means? If so, shame on him...but it doesn't sound like he's "trying to screw you".

Nice cheap shot, but there's a *lot* of Skywest pilots who have plenty of experience working under a contract. I fall on the pro-union side, but the anti-Skywest mania is just as dumb as the anti-union crap you here from some skw'ers.

And yet XJT is one of the CHEAPEST 50 seat operators out there. The CPA that XJT got forced into (with JA's help) is what's unprofitable.

Are you OK with that? I wouldn't be. YOUR 70/90 seat rates should be higher.

You rally can't blame ASA for crappy 70/90 seat rates. After all, WHO set the precedent on getting paid 50 seat money for 70/90 seat equipment? In other words, who said it was ok to fly that size aircraft for crap wages?

Also, wasn't that some freaking coincidence that AFTER ASA got their contract, SKW got a pay raise?

I'm glad somebody is cognizant of what happened. But go with the FIRST one on your list.

Its pretty apparent at this point what skywest management is trying to do at this point, now that we know CAL/UAL pilots want regional jets on their property. Skywest is simply trying to tie up a 10 year contract via XJT/ASA to prevent that all, plain and simple, hence all the rushing and all the threats. Id like to see skywest leave XJT alone at this point.

Dude... brah... like no way dude. What a downer. whoa.

Yeah, I've been an organizer. I've also been a poker player. and when you have a crap hand, sure, you can go all in and hope everyone else caves, but they seldom do. Better off to fold than lose your arse.
