The value of the contract undeniably is most important. But as I stated earlier, the payrate starts now, the rest will be implemented over time. WHO KNOWS how long. with how bassackwards CJC has been run since it's inception, it could take a loooooooong time to implement the workrules since they require infrastructure and diff. staffing.
Many will vote no on the contract if they tie the Q rate to the CR2 rate. Find it insulting.
I just want to be able to invest in my life and maybe go on an occasional vacation. Can't do it on my current rates.

I just want to take the time to thank everyone involved with acheiving this seemingly impossible task.
This TA is a huge deal for everyone involved and to get a TA in such a short time frame is astounding!
Thanks guys!!!!!

Its probably too soon to ask, but anyone know a timeline on when the MEC will vote, pilots will see it, pilots will vote, voting will close, and (if yes) contract put into place?
I know none of that has been decided yet so... Rough guesses would be great.

It should have its own rate somewhere between the CR2 and CR9 but lets all be real here, it is HIGHLY unlikely to happen.
From what I understand they are going after other targets in this TA before fighting the DH4 battle and plan to fight that fight the next contract.
It would be nice to see a better rate than the CR2 looking forward since there is the very real possibility there will be 45+ here in the near future.

I think most are prepared for it actually. It has been implied since day one that the Q400 will pay at CR2 rates.

I do agree its not very fair... the company made it clear the props will not get as much as the jets.
From what I hear the 9E and XJ people will vote this in... and enough Colgan folks will vote yes to make it happen.
All I've heard is hearsay...
It shouldn't necessarily be a battle with the company. It could just be a matter of realigning the money that is out there. 50 cents off every RJ would be an extra 2.50 to a q rate. What the RJ guys need to understand is that the -200's will be on there way out eventually and the future is on the q. There aren't any specific plans to acquire more -900s that I am aware of, yet there are an additional 30 Qs(on top of the 30 we already will have come April). Where do you RJ guys think you will be upgrading into? Any for the XJ guys, where do you think the openings will be as you lose the saabs?
That will all end up depending on the SLI
The answer will lie anywhere between CRJ 900 Captain and CRJ 900 FO I suspect. Heck a few of the Saab Captains in MEM might just find themselves only able to hold Q400 FO when it's all said and done, who knows right now. Of course we do still have several Saab Captains with Delta flow rights as well.
