Everything I have predicted over the last 15 years has come true. If your not inside, your outside.
Simple as that.
Get ready for what's coming down the pipeline. Brace yourselves.....and don't say I didn't warn you.

I have been hearing some stupid crazy rumors lately too and I pray they are not true....

Check the checkout counter at your local grocery store. It should be in there between US Weekly and one of those papers that claim that Elivis is alive and living on Mars. APC Magazine.
...and I just can't get enough of it. There is an article about the shortage of Chinese flight students this week and how the Pope is planning on declaring Jihad against Hooters Airlines if they return as promised.

Take some time and read the previous posts. A vast majority are from pilots like yourself attacking the Colgan pilots and provoking strife and argument, not 9L guys "crying over cake." There are very few 9L pilots posting their support for relative seniority regardless of which side of the fence they're actually on (no pun intended). Having said that, and if you were truly in the position of a 9L pilot, would you actively pursue a lower seniority number? Probably not. You would be doing what you can to protect your current situation, right or wrong. If someone called your sister ugly, you'd defend her, whether or not she is, right? It's human nature, not personal.
Whether you like munkybuttr or are a shy guy, we know you're stance is correct and superior, you have important things to say, and we should all listen as you feel you should be heard. But in actuality your opinion means ****. And I say it again, a post on an Internet forum has no bearing on the ultimate decision or is it productive at all. As much as it hurts, you are not in charge, just a very small piece of a very large system. All your posts are doing is driving a bigger wedge between the "one list." Now who's childish?

Do not come at me as if I am attacking your pilot group and putting you guys down. If these people I speak of were trying to protect themselves and their situation, they wouldn't be crying for relative senority. That, my friend, is being selfish and greedy. Under no circumstance should a pilot at any airline with two years senority expect and think its right to gain 6 years of senority at a new airline. That is called gold digging. I know its not up to me, no kidding bud, but as you so put I am looking out for our situation and protecting us. Giving relative to you guys would hurt a lot of guys at Pinnacle as well as Mesaba and you have some pilots that are all for it. That is who my post was directed to. There is no wedging and attacking, I simply want know from the guys who are crying for relative senority integration to tell me why they think it is right. I want to know the mind set of person like that. To me its nothing but greed, cherry picking, gold digging, call it what you want. You guys can scream unity and working together but then some turn around and want to propell themselves up the senority list at the expense of their "brothers."
One last thing, correct me if im wrong, but threads and forums are for open discussions. If this process was up to me I wouldn't be posting on here. The point of these outlets is for discussion and the voiceing of opinions, I simply want to hear from someone who supports relative senority and why. My post was asking for an opinion and outting frustration. How shallow are you to attack, you sound backed into a corner and trying to claw your way out. Calm down, whtever.
I am not saying which way I think is right or wrong, I am not claiming to know how this process will go down. I just want to hear a defense for relative, whether its going to happen or not. I've heard guys say that want it, I just want to know why besides the obvious reasons. I'm all for relative senority if there are very strong fences.
P.S. I heard we were all just going to go down to Memphis one day this summer and start picking senority numbers out of a hat, but after we buy Horizon, aquire Comair's assets, and start flying CRJ-1000's for JetBlue.

No, not everyone would stay in the same place with relative senority unless there are fences, not sepuclation or starting rumor, just saying. Relative senority with no fences would allow a Colgan pilot with 3 years senority to gain enough senority in the new airline to hold a 900 Captain position. Now the guy with the 3 years at the bigger airline is screwed. I find it hard to believe that anyone who currently holds a Captian award would be downgraded or bumped due to the integration. I would like to think that current positions would be protected.
You're probably right about the combination, but Colgans QOL will not go down due to straight DOH.
How do you figure??? Being a captain and having 400-500 FO's ahead of me on the list wont affect my QOL. I wont be on reserve and essentially be no better than a street captain forever?
I thought the ALPA merger policy was to prevent windfalls in EITHER direction. Dumping 500 FOs ahead of a captain I'd probably say is a windfall.
I may be missing something but I just don't see how relative seniority is unfair. Everyone remains in the same place. The same distance from upgrading, the same chunk of pilots ahead and behind them.
I feel like some of the XJ and Pinnacle guys are expecting to go from FO to an instant upgrade and then on top of that they expect to be able to hold a line by having a ton of guys below them on the list. How is that not a windfall?

Ok, with emotions out, take the staple out. But DOH is FAIR. It is crediting you for TIME you SPENT at YOUR airline. PERIOD. I am 100% for DOH. And if Colgan wants to beotch and moan about it, lets do DOH with a small fence enough to protect their own Tprop flying and upgrades. That's the fairest thing I can think of.

An upgrade and PIC time! As was MY expectation when I started at Pinnacle in 2007. Instead, I'm now approaching 4 years as a FO with no upgrade in sight. Don't even get me started with "career expectation" coming from a Colgan pilot! Had I been at Colgan, I would have a been CA in the top half of the list. Instead, my holding company used our hard-earned money to buy your crappy airline and then buy you Q400s with that money. All the while WE were told our ALPA-contract proposal would have bankrupted our airline. So SHOVE IT! I don't wanna hear it from ANY Colgan guy. You deserve a staple as far as I'm concerned, because our airline saved your sorry-excuse of an airline, and you guys took all the career expectations away from us, when our money was used to buy, grow, and expand you.... at MY expense.
