Well, that wont get you far. When I spoke with the recruiter, he said the thing that impressed him the most was that I kept calling to follow up on things. His phone number is right on the job openings page https://inside.gulfstreamair.com/emp...ils.aspx?id=60 Under "contact information" I'm not going to give his number on a forum, but his name is Stuart. Your not getting anywhere in this industry simply by emailing/faxing a resume and waiting for the job. Be proactive, make the phone call. I'm not trying to sound like an *********, but you'll be waiting forever if you dont do it. Hope this helps.

No worries. I thought you were trying to call the HR number, because everytime I called, I got some foreign women's voicemail who reminded me of this commercial: Discover Card "My name is Peggy" 2010 Commercial - YouTube
I guess I just got lucky. I dont remember exactly what date but I emailed my resume around 5pm, at 5:01 I got a kickback email saying it was denied. 5:02 I then emailed the @aol.com contact on the website. 5:05 I got a call from the recruiter to setup the interview. However, this was when the opening first came out about 3 weeks- 1 month ago..

Well at noon yesterday, they said my background check cleared, (I disclosed my DUI from the get go), and to stop by the office to pick up my ID. Then this morning the VP calls and said they have to rescind the job offer because not enough time has passed, 5 years.
So why did they make me miss work, buy a ticket, and put in my notice when they could of just not interviewed me when they saw my DUI on the application or said no two weeks ago when I disclosed it to the chief pilot.
Its a good opportunity, and hopefully the company is turning around, but how they handled this sucks.

I know I said I wouldn't post on this thread, but I'm curious. Why does 5 years have to pass? I know pilots that have gotten DUI's and never missed a day of work. Granted, they were already flying for an airline prior to the DUI. It sounds like 121 flying is not going to happen for you until 5 years has passed.

Got the call back from the recruiter for an interview date. Scheduled for 2:30p at sheltair. What time did you guys arrive to be early? I am sure there is some fun paper work to fill. Do they allow you to fill the paper work before your interview time to be ready? Seems like its in a suite at sheltair, is there someone there to greet you in the suite or signage at least? Just want to cover my all my bases and be early, in the right place with everything filled and ready to go.
