I was told a few hours after my sim eval and given a class date, but I think I made my point during the face to face meeting that Id want to be in the next class, and they helped me out to get into it. I did the paperwork and drug test on the same day. Most guys have been getting the notice within a few days or a week or so. If it went well, then they'll call you.

Okay so the first folks are here. they put us up in a SUPER NICE hotel. it's owned by Marriot, single occupancy. Right in the middle of a shopping district. Restuarants, barber shops,Publix grocery- you name it it's here. Free ride to and from 'the bunker" -the school house- from the hotel with a full buffet breakfast, workout room, pool and hot tub. In room microwave and mini fridge. Just vegging out today, fun starts tommorrow.
Don't expect frequent updates- gotta get through this g/s sims first. Will keep posting as I can.

I did put my interview profile up on willflyforfood.com Pretty similar to Cruz's and others experience interviewing with Gulfstream. Look for it in the GIA category on the website.
Really nice people, I think they are trying to rebuild from the ashes of the old company. They have nice digs at sheltair, beats the old building they had before. I think good things are coming for the company. Just have to wait and see if I get a call.
Hopefully those of you in the first class will give us some updates on progress.

The sim is an old FTD based on a Beech maybe a 1900c or C90, hard to tell. The controls are very fidgety at best. The instructor will act as your FO and give you the power settings. Like most FTDs I have flown seems to always be an issue keeping altitude and pitch.
Take off 9L eastbound, careful rolling out as the rudder does not work well for directional control while taking off. 10DME east of FLL VOR, track back to the VOR to hold North of the 360R of the FLL VOR. Then vectors to the ILS 9L. Just keep an eye on your altitude and make little corrections, a little trim goes a long way. The gentleman administering the test was very hard to understand due to his accent, if you get Lilly she's very nice and easy to understand. Always confirm your instructions if you have a doubt, know your entries into the hold, you have HSI it should be easy to determine the entry.
