Do all of you that got hired have your ATP written complete? I saw on their website that was a requirment.

Also how hard would it be to get the PKB base?

I am not in the job hunt just looking for info.

*golfclap* You guys really put your feet down looking at those pay scales...

How anyone would even apply for an 18$/hr FO job is beyond me, and at GIA??...pathetic.

That WOULD be PFT brah!

I think 90% of their interviewees walked out when presented with that...so I'm thinking they're ax-ing that "requirement"

Default GIA interview

This was posted on Willflyforfood.com. It does show a little different info on the PFT subject.
Gulfstream International Airlines Pilot Interview Profiles

I was not thinking of applying here but with this new info it might be worth a look???

Thanks!!

That's exactly I meant when I said, read the whole thread.....

Almost all or a large percentage of the guys who interviewed at GIA, when they were told this $300 deduction from paycheck for PFT, either walked out from the interview or said flat out NO.

That forced the company to either not hire anyone or scrap the PFT. The company chose to get rid of the PFT $300 paycheck deductions......

Now, there is NO deductions from paycheck, NO PFT, only a 24 month commitment to work for them.

CRUZ, whenever you get a chance, Can U pls confirm, if what I understand is correct.

+1

And I thought I was the one missing something. Flying job or not, I'd just find it hard to get excited about a job that at min guarantee (because face it, it's called 'guarantee' for a reason), that will net you $1,050 per month your first year after the training expenses. That is, if the APC scales/calculator are right.

And I don't buy the 'it's a start in aviation' argument in this case. Even if you had no actual living expenses, I still fail to see how this is doable. And I consider myself a fairly fiscally responsible individual. I made significantly more than this as an intern at a large company back during college. And had housing provided. And had benefits.

That has since gone away. You sign a 24 month training contract. $1000 is deducted every month until you reach $18k, the monetary amount of the contract.

24 month $18k pro-rated contract....just wanted to help clarify that...some people might think the $1000 is deducted from paycheck not the value of the contract.
