Hockeypilot,

It's the same wherever you go. You attempt to reduce the young pilot and elevate yourself. It does not work work and is pathetic. Your carreer may not have panned out the way you had hoped. However, rest assured that it is not Archer drivers fault.

Most of the people on this thread are using it as a venue to further their carriers while you are on here for personal reasons. Does a man of your age have nothing better to do than trolling forums of up and coming pilots trying to get their bearings?

Your behavior is analogous to a bully harassing a little kid at school while looking over his shoulder to assure peer recognition.

You are basing your comments on here say without any first hand knowledge or factual substance. While the past practices of GIA may be fresh in your memory, things have changed. I would agree with you fully if these men were attempting to fund their carries with their parents money. However, this is not the case. These guys are trying to get on with a company that will give them 6-8 weeks of paid training. Subsequently, they will find themselves in the middle of winter in a turboprop with boots, no autopilot, flying around the great lakes. This is certainly no game, and noone is playing anything. This is commuter flying of the old school. You need to understand that these aspirants may not be the talentless gutless losers that you would like to picture.

Unless you have something of value to add, please stop interfering with this discussion.

All new hires, check your email. You may have gotten your pre-hire letter. Please be aware you need to get your drug test done before the 30th. All the best! (I got mine today)

Hockey Pilot, your posts do not compliment your intelligence or potential. You may not agree with those who chose to go there, but giving a general statement about those who do shows prejudice. I know you are better than that.

Yes I do, but according to hockey EVERYONE at his level has equal flying abilities. That particular Captain is not the only airline pilot to make a basic mistake like that. Christ according to you two anyone who has crashed a plane must of come from Gulfstream

I am strongly biased against Gulfstream based on past experiences with former Gulfstream pilots and how Gulfstream was started and operated for years. This is my last post on this thread. Good luck to you all. Someone said it's not the same Gulfstream. Let's hope that's true.

I also don't happen to use flying as my sole source of income so if we really wanna play that game..... Let's just keep this on track.
No, it isn't saying "My dad...", it IS saying there are better places to work where you WILL earn more.

Good for you that you have two jobs. Some of us only want one, and we want it to pay enough to live on.

It is if I could get hired at SKW I would,
but I can't. Besides my second income source isn't a job it's a hobby that pays well.

You can't really put all the blame on GIA, the teamsters negotiated the payscale and the pilots signed off on it.

As far as pilots going there, everyone has to make their own decisions based on what they think is best for them and their families. I have only been in aviation for 10 years and have never heard of anyone discriminating against someone based on them coming from GIA.

I'm not sure if i understood correctly, but if you were referring to flying as that second well paying source:
