Have they said what happens to the contract in the event of a furlough? Lakes requires you to return or pay the contract back when recalled.

I'm simply pointing out to him that I do have experience, and the stats to back it up. Yes I mentioned I plan to be above average in training, I don't see anything wrong with that. Sorry if you felt I was trying to claim to be the "Top Gun" of civilian aviation, but you misunderstood.

Not arrogance nor ignorance, but justified confidence. There is a reason I have no checkride failures, finished my multi commercial in less than 4 hours, and pretty much finished all my ratings in the minimum time required by the FAA. What I lack in experience, I try to make up for by having sound theoretical knowledge. Your right, because I can't fly to Canada, no other regional will give me a shot, but GIA will so I'm going, and I'll be above average. Fortunately I will not need your recommendation to be successful in my career.
Not to mention my TT is 2900/160, and I've been flying since I was 16, so I'm not exactly inexperienced.

I beg to differ, there is a such thing as above/below average pilots. I have seen pilot's that don't want to do the work. They rely too much on automation and their Captain and do not have a complete understanding of what's going on. How many low time regional FO's took the extra time to study about icing conditions when they got hired on in the middle of winter out in the east. Regardless you called me inexperienced, arrogant and ignorant, non of which is accurate. Regardless, you and Fly are entitled to your opinions, but again, fortunately those opinions won't write my future.
There's no such thing as above average at our level. We can all pass every checkride we take, and we all complete every flight we fly. It's called being a professional pilot. Our pay and work rules are what separates us. Gulfstream is the lowest of the low in the categories that matter.

They are also paid better than GLA FOs.
Still not the "best" place but not nearly Dachau
