Pinnacle Concession Update

I don't see why Delta wouldn't put 9E's 900s in DTW and move the ASA (ExpressJet) op back down to ATL. It seems like this would save money and allow MX services to consolidate. 9E has a hanger in DTW, they work on the ex-XJ 900s there, why not bring the rest up? ASA has a massive op down there and could fill the routes. Just swap 9E ATL for ASA DTW right? Does that make too much sense? What is the size of the ASA op in DTW? Isn't it all 700/900s? Shoot, Gojet is already infesting DTW with the 700's...

Anyone else notice that Shyguy is quite quiet lately? Must be busy in training at VX...
Anyways I hope that is the case with the ATL heavies Munky and it makes alot of sense. I asked before but no one answered, how hard would it be to operate them under the XJ contract.

We have a contract with Delta right now; I really doubt they would want to change that, move them onto the fenced Mesaba operation, and pay the rates associated with that CPA.

Easier said then done as far as moving Pinnacle's 900's from ATL to DTW. Those are the original Pinnacle 900's (16 a/c) down in ATL and have a totally different training and operating program then the original fenced off Mesaba 900's (41 a/c). The company and the union still haven't figured out how to get all the 900's and all the 900 drivers on the same page as far as Mesaba pilots being able to fly with Pinnacle pilots without causing a training nightmare bigger then they already have and also a fair way to do it. So you close ATL for Pinnacle and all those pilots are displaced and can bid where ever their seniority can hold. So if some go to MEM to fly the 900 that means Mesaba training "short course" couple weeks of training for same airplane "CRJ900" Actually I have confused myself on how this would go down, thats how confusing it is, anyone able to finish my thought??......

"Moving Pinnacle's 900's from ATL to DTW would be a pain in the rear and cost a ton of money."
How's that?

So keep them on the 9E ticket. Just change the base of ops and worry about the rest later. If they get the 9E 900 contract figured out then switch em.... I dont understand why the 9E 900s havent been added in to begin with. If they park em and displace wont Delta still have to pay?

Thats what I am wondering, imagine this if it is too complicated. Say Delta says they can move those planes under the XJ contract and we decide to keep them in ATL, is that possible? Im talking about how we get compensated for flying them. I doubt just because they agreed to pay Xj rates that Delta would require them to go under the fenced operation....
