I have no idea how much the tires weigh or why in the world anyone would care as long as they are inflated properly and remain attached to the airplane at all times .

As for your V1 cut question I don't know if you are asking why we would practice them on a 13000 ft runway or why there could be a difference between V1 and VR even on a 13000 ft runway, or something else.

If you really truly study with your classmates and show them you really want to be there they will help you and find a way to get you through it right?

If anyone reading this has a firm May class date at XJT, I'd like to hear it and what date you start.
I'm in the may 14 class

Pretty much. Just be a nice guy (or gal), do the work, don't be a loner (it's actually harder if you do it all on your own) and you should be fine. You can access quizes through quizlet.com (I wrote one of them) for extra study on systems and indoc, etc.

On our flight ops page it just mentions a single class in May - the 14th that the other guys were referring to. I think it's just that single new hire class and two upgrade classes. Hopefully more to come!

Updated attrition hasn't come out yet but we've been losing about 15-16/month on the ERJ side, so that's about 1 class of pilots each month. But they may let attrition whittle us down a little for the slower months then pick up hiring towards the end of the year. Who knows? I've just learned to take it one month at a time and to try and not get too caught up in it.

I'm an alternate for that class date. I'm crossing my fingers, but making the class is contingent on someone dropping out or deferring which I believe is unlikely.
I have been in the hiring pool since January.
Good luck on the 14th bud.

No. I believe it is unlikely because I'm a serial pessimist.
