I interviewed Tuesday in IAH. They said we should here something by monday, anyone who interviewed last week hear anything different? Also, how many people interviewed wednesday and thursday? 15 on Tuesday. I left feeling pretty good about my interview, and felt I nailed it.

I actually do not have a problem with a training contract. They are making a sizeable investment in my skill set and I think it only fair they should get some return on that. I just hope I am not being duped w the bonus. It would suck to start the job and already be bitter, lol

You clearly did not do your homework before applying. As a start, I recommend watching the episode of Undercover Boss with Rev. Bedford and then research the promises he made (on national TV!) to the employees of Frontier.

They are making an investment to give you the tools required for their specific task, you don't owe them anything!!! They are not training you to fly an airplane, you already have that skill... They are training you to fly their airplane. Also have you seen the disparity between year 1 and 2 pay. Don't you think they recoup part of their investment there. They have a 2 year commitment to tie people off so they don't bail, it's a lot harder to bail after 2 years! Also a bonus that isn't on paper don't expect to get it. Even with the 5K you will make less at RAH than most of the other regionals hiring during your first year!

Foreign airlines aren't going hire somebody with a wet-ink E170/E190 type rating and very little time in type (let alone PIC), let alone pay them those kind of wages.

Yes it was an exaggeration. There is still some value in a type from FSI and a real cost to the company that paid for it. Perhaps a more realistic scenario would be upon completion of training, regional b,which you prefer for the reason of your choosing, calls you out of their hiring pool for a class date. My point still stands.

And do they have an AQP program in place?
