Quote: Moak wasn't the only fish in the tank. By the way, the DAL pwa was not up for re-negotiation on July 1, 2010.
I get it! Everything bad that happens is Lee Moak's fault because he was in charge. Everything good that happens is because others were involved, even though Lee was in charge.

The entire PWA was NOT up for renegotiation on July 1, 2010. But the requirement to address the Compass LOA happened, didn't it?

Should Lee have ignored the sale of Compass to TSH?

Was the renegotiated deal better than the alternative for Delta pilots? For Compass pilots? If you are familiar with the pre-2010 flow through agreement, then you are familiar with the things that made it vulnerable.

Quote: If the TA passes, Delta isn't going to shutdown an airline with 12 year CA and 4 year FO payscales, meager payrates, and a 401k built to discourage lifers. They are going to use it to whipsaw the other DCI carriers.

Plausible. Essentially kill it off in it's current form, resurrect as a zombie, then use it to terrorize the other villagers.

Quote: I have watched the roadshows online. The union is trying to sell this TA to save the senior pilots jobs. The FOs that will be furloughed get only a 3000 longevity bonus while senior pilots get 24k. Yes they get 3 months pay, medical and pass travel but it still sucks. Even the union says this deal sucks but its the best they could do.

Anybody who understands how a typical top-heavy regional LEC works will have to agree with this.

Quote: If I heard correctly, a topped out 9E FA would make more than a topped out FO. What self respectig FO would vote yes to this?
Don't believe everything you hear.

http://pclafa.org/resources/Final_FA...t_10-12-12.pdf

2nd year FA's make $20.61 at DOS

2nd year FO's make $33.10 at DOS

15+ year FA's make $32.61 at DOS

4th year FO's make $38.58 at DOS on 900 and $37.36 on the 200.

The fact that FA and FO can even be compared or discussed is disgusting.

You're comparing someone who spent years of their life and tens of thousands of dollars with a lot of career deciding exams along the way in order to have dozens of lives in their hands..... with someone who graduated high school, didn't know what to do with their life, and thanks to a newspaper ad and a couple of weeks of memorizing speeches became a waitress with a set of wings on her uniform.

And people are considering voting yes for this. You're all as pathetic as what you're voting for. Sure is sad what we've become, isn't it?

You are giving the FA to much credit, I believe that some of the Pinnacle FA are from Colgan and they were recruited by Chuck at the mall...
