This.

Somebody need to get through to the knuckleheads at the aviation and clue them in as to what a horribly bad move accepting special favors from the company is.

What a complete slap in the face to us that didn't attend a "pre-ordained" aviation university. So I guess a 2.5 GPA from ERAU is worth more than my 3.9 GPA degree in business from a top 10 ranked public university.

How about separate pay scales altogether? GMAFB

Congratulations Eagle for getting me NOT to apply to your airline.

Yes, I agree to your sentiments and lolwut's on this matter.

With Envoys attrition and contraction any pilot who signs up for this must understand that they'll be spinning their wheels in the mud and make zero advancement. It will be a wasted two years. At least with another regional, you're likely to make some headway toward captain. Additionally, if the merge Envoy, you'll likely end up at the back of the pack.

Seems like a steep price to pay for $10,000 that will be heavily taxed as non-earned income. Ultimately, for all that it will come out to about $500/month extra for the first year and you'll almost certainly have to start over elsewhere once you realize you're going nowhere fast.

+1. Stick it Eagle...err...Envoy. Whatever the hell your calling your POS airline these days. Even if you did offer a $10K signing bonus to me, I'm going elsewhere. Too much drama.

ABSOLUTELY.....couldn't have said it better myself!! Filled out my app for Eagle all weekend and updated everything. But, I'll be damned if I go there. What's more, I could care less about the $5k or $10k......their games are B.S. What a classless outfit!! Hope all their pilots bail!!

Default 10K sign-on bonus with American Eagle

Give me a 5% increase in my overall compensation package from what I'm making now with a minimum 3% increase in take home pay, 14 days off / month minimum, 4 weeks vacation, leave me the hell alone if I call in sick or fatigued and straight commutable four day trips and I'll see you in two weeks, Eagle..... No signing bonus required.

I'm sorry, but there is no pilot shortage. At least right now. I've seen what too many of our furloughed guys are doing to believe in a pilot shortage. FUPM......
