25 is all you need. You get the other 25 in the sim. Skywest and Piedmont mins are the same.

I heard because you get that 25 hrs of sim time during initial training which can be used toward meeting 1500 he requirement, employment and training can commence at 1475 instead of 1500.

Negative. The 1500 hours is flight time. You can use 25 hours in the sim for the multi requirement, but that doesn't make it time in flight.

25.0 is all you need...you'll get the remainder of the needed 50 in the sim as previously stated.

I only had 19 when I interviewed. They asked me when I would be able to get to 25 and I said I was planning on getting a $1,000 hamburger that coming weekend. They then offered me a class date for 2 weeks later.

Howdy all,

New to the forums, current 121 guy (with CommutAir if anyone is curious). I'd like to get some accurate estimates of various timelines at PSA.
I have an interview at the beginning of March, what can I expect for:

Interview to possible offer?
Months on Reserve?
Time to Upgrade?
Junior bases?
How many aircraft left from Envoy to come on property?
How many 900s left to come on property?

My time is 2600 w/850 121 if that factors in any way.

Please and thanks everyone!

I'll answer the ones I know (or know from experience). I, as well as mostly everyone now, are getting offers at the interview. I had the official email offer in my inbox by the time I made it home 4 hours later. Time to upgrade I can't answer as all I hear i speculation, though it seems like maybe a few years? Last question I can answer, junior bases are Knoxville (TYS) and Dayton (DAY).

There's still about 8 of the original 30 900's to be delivered, after that they will begin accepting the transfer of 700's from envoy in June, and will take a total of 19 before they begin to get the 1st of the 24 900's just recently ordered. August 2016 all 54 900's should be on property and they will then get the rest of the 700's from Envoy. End game is 150 aircraft by 2017.

1. yes, should be immediate
2. 0 in DAY/TYS, 3 months in CLT
3. for former 121 it should be under 1 year
4. DAY
5. 47. None have been transferred yet
6. 40 or so.

I posted this a few days ago, this should help:

Hiring about 70 a month, attrition at about 20, net gain of 50 pilots a month while a given new hire moves up 20 places. I spoke to someone today who interviewed yesterday and was offered a 4/13 class, so about two months from interview to class date.

If the most junior guy on 2/16/15 is 1,100, using the above assumptions the most junior person on 4/13/15 is going to be 1,300.

A year after that (4/2016) he'll be very near to 1,000 while the total pilot group will be topping out around 1,900.

A year after that (4/2017) he'll be in the 750 range while the pilot group is still around 1,900 (still 16 more options out there though).

If said pilot has no 121 time when he's hired, and upgrades in 4/2017 he'll be a line holding Captain when he upgrades. If said pilot has 121 time he'll upgrade a lot sooner.

A pilot starting class in 4/2016 (say #1,900) is likely to see a lot higher attrition, especially as the Legacies, Majors, Cargo, and LCCs start to ramp up hiring. Since this group has roughly a thousand pilots now and 20 a month, it's reasonable to assume that someone hired as #1,900 could see his number go up 40 a month. If that's the case, and even assuming some slowing of his seniority gain as his seniority increases, he being 1,200-1,300 or so after a year is very possible, and well within upgrade territory a year after that is likely.

Interview to possible offer?
You'll get an offer at your interview. It seems to be about 2 months from offer to class date, although if you tell them you're available earlier you could move up some.

Months on Reserve?
Pretty much zero in DAY or TYS. Guys in my class aren't finished with IOE yet and have lines already in those bases.

Time to Upgrade?
Very quickly. Right now the most junior Capt award is a 8/14 hire.

Junior bases?
Right now guys are getting their pick of the three by the time their done with IOE.

How many aircraft left from Envoy to come on property?
How many 900s left to come on property?
None of the Envoy Aircraft are here yet. At this moment we're still expecting 80 deliveries through 2017.

PM me your number if you've got any more questions. I'm former C5 myself and let me tell you you'll LOVE having an APU.
