Any rumor on when the 35 CRJ 200's are being parked? How young is the 200 fleet? I saw a few were getting the new paint job, does that mean they will be around awhile? It seems to me that when oil goes back up to $100 a barrel the 50 seat RJ's will be the kiss of death to all regionals that own them in then this ever changing industry.

Not that it matters, but 2017 is when the leases start expiring on the planes that are not owned which is about half. This info is all available in SECs reports. I would believe SEC documents over what Joe Blow says in the training department. American will not have a single operating certificate until the fall at the earliest which is also found in SEC reports. The pilot group might have a shot at increasing the SSP numbers and/or getting the SSP changed to a flow, but it won't happen tell 2016 at the earliest.

Any word on the rumor of PSA opening a LGA base? If so, I will mostly likely be applying very soon.

Doubtful.
Chicago would be my guess as the next base. And it's justa guess

There's always a chance but if I were a betting man I'd say ORD.

This is incorrect. The Sim time applies to total and multi.
Absolute minimum flight (in aircraft) times per FAA are:
1,375 Single engine & 25 multi engine with 200 being x-country.

With an aviation Bachelors degree, the times can be reduced to 875 single engine and 25 multi engine.

It was hinted that either ORD or LGA would be a new base months ago and since then it seems there is more talk of ORD. But who knows.
