Absent United willing to pay more (which doesn't seem likely hence the transfer of aircraft to TSA) or any new contracts with larger aircraft (also unlikely due to scope) L-XJT, dies.

Good luck to ANY airline to staff and cover the amount of flying XJT (CRJ and ERJ) does should we go under.....Say what you want but the next carrier that flies for UAX is shuttle america and they do 3% of what XJT flies and next lowest for the DAL side is 9E and S5 based off of total flights...just some food for thought

All I've been hearing for the last couple of years from mainline is there's going to be a significant reduction in 50 seat lift and a restrictive limit for lift above 50 seats. Maybe you guys have ear plugs in or I heard wrong. But that right there points to less airframes to staff and less flights to cover. I don't think it's wise to feel you're regional (contract lift) is not able to be replaced. Look at Comair, eagle/envoy for example.
The end state in scope at DAL and UAL allow 125 fifty seat aircraft. It's probably about the same for American. There will be a need for about 400 fifty seat jets in the industry once the dust settles.
