I'd agree that united doesn't want that. That's why united just extended their contracts on a lot of skywests 700s to keep the rest from going to AA and having that issue.

This is what I heard a while ago from a cp (about this being in negotiation) and they just started expanding the Iah base again which is almost all UA700 flying. (Supposedly our 700 are extended into 2018)

Pay, flow, movement, benefits. That's what will attract new hires, and in that order. Mesa, PSA, republic, etc. all have deals to get more airplanes, but unless major changes come, they won't be able to staff them. Just my .02!
I agree with this. The airlines that can staff are the airlines that will survive. And competitive compensation is what is going to keep them staffed.

The 700s that are leaving are coming out of the west coast system thus IAH should remain unscathed for now.

Just announced, that XJT will be keeping 20 ERJ145's that were suppose to come offline, with new CBA's. They expect to be flying E145's past 2019 now.

As for Delta, they are in the process of negotiating new rates, or additional flying.

As long as they can continue to find pilots to replace the ones that leave. Same goes for all the regionals out there. All CBA's are subject to completion %'s and can be cancelled if they don't meet them. Just keeping it real.

I agree, but 4th quarter in 2015, XJT was #1 D0 and CCF.

Yes. UAL flying. I was referring to the American eagle ERJs. They're supposed to be coming back starting in August according to our union and management. Subject to change I'm sure.

I think XJT will have one of the better contracts out there to attract new hires(but will still need to sweeten it more). Just trying to keep potential new hires in the loop on what is really needed for a regional to be "safe" in the coming years and how none of the CPA's are really "safe".

But then again we were 70 aircraft for a long time and 69 for a few years when some genius F/O decided to "get a feel for the aircraft" in 470 at PVD.

I think we will still get by with (eventually) 67 planes and still fly the **** out of them.
