History, after the US/AA merge Non-Wholy Owns had to list via MyIdtravel for JS or Nonrev travel on AA/AE flights.
This would give an AAC listing which own metal priority or AA/AE priority just below all mainline/WO employees but before OAL. This could be modified (conversion) if need be for the JS as well.
Then access to Fly.AA.com came along and things changed.
A couple of years ago policy was changed and an AAC conversion to JS was not to be used anymore (it still happens sometimes).
Currently, if an AAC listing has checked in and JS is needed a D6 listing is required (per policy )and you have to cancel the AAC listing losing time of check in and priority over OAL.
This "simple" change options would be to reverse the conversion policy back to allowing an AAC listing to be converted at the gate or mirror AA/WO pilots when listing is created the automatic FDJ.
At the end of the day, since the original change happened this has been an issue and this is just the next step. I would not be surprised if Mesa, Skywest, Compass, etc don't follow suit before to long.

I've met and have a lot of their flight crews over the years and have a lot of respect for them...management? and some of the vocal minority here? not so much.
Apparently not, kind of sad.

That goes for all the other tough guys ITT and the other one saber rattling about pulling our flying. Not only will we not miss it, but you won't be able to staff it, which makes the suffering only worse.
The vocal minority on APC really aren't great spokesmen for the pilot group at large. I hope that's not really how things are on the line over there. Going for great!

If this is implemented you won’t really be screwing them over too much because on the chance that one of them doesn’t get on a republic aircraft attendance policies at mainline are very liberal so not much will happen. I think the thing they would be most upset about is losing some pay for the flights they miss. I don’t really see mainline capitulating to a regional.

All I got from this thread was the usual suspects on APM are still saying stupid things and I’m glad I’m EWR based and I haven’t dealt with any of this.
