Anyone know what RAH's plan is for the CHQ 145/140s? Always talk of getting rid of 50 seaters yet all the new 170s are goin to Republic cert. In fact, if anyone here is on the CHQ cert could you PM me? Thanks.
None of us know what the future of the 145's are here. If a pilot tells you they know, they're lying. BB has stated doom and gloom for them for years yet he always gets their contracts extended or finds new homes for them. If I were you, I'd go to Skywest. If/when we get a new contract and its worthy, I'll recommend coming here. Great group of pilots but a crappy contract.

An rjet FA that I know was supposed to start a trip, the first day of which was to be one leg to a 24+ hour layover. Their previous trip ended late the night before, giving both her and the other FA (they were both to work the same two trips) a short night in base after working the previous day for 4 minutes shy of 16 hours.

Both figured that they could stay get up early and stay awake long enough to do that, but they instead arrived at the airport to learn that their flight was delayed because of a sick captain.

Crew scheduling did not call them and they kept seeing the delays get pushed back with no information from the company.

After nearly four hours of waiting, they were having a hard time staying awake while sitting around waiting. They both elected to call fatigued only to be threatened by an angry crew scheduler, and then given a punitive reassignment that included a DH to a THIRD city (that same day) for a short overnight and early report the next day for a DH to the city they were originally supposed to fly, despite there being a flight available the next morning which could have had them re-join their trip in plenty of time with just a single DH leg and no short overnight. They asked to be put on that flight and were refused.

It was punishment for calling in fatigued.

Still wanna work for rjet?

FA stories are like watching/believing the movie Gremlins. I had an FA today tell me and the hotel van driver how she collected cans and scared off other bums. Still want to work for RJET?

That's funny....but I was there and saw it unfold.

...and most people who work at rjet won't have a hard time believing that this happened.

Nope. They do it to pilots as well. If you call fatigued, and they can crew your original flight, you go with it. If not, they'll dhd you around since you're fatigued, and eventually get you to your flight.

I've seen it about 5 times in the last 6 months.
