I read this and can't imagine who would want to work for these a-holes. This is my first time reading this and it my first time feeling truly sorry for the poor souls that pilot these aircraft. It makes my worst day at Eagle sound like a normal day under RAH/Chatauqua.

Why are people are lining up to work here I don't get it... This is bad place to be stuck in. Are you all worked up about the 47 175s that we are going to fly for American? Do you know that this place will man those airplanes with the least amount of people?
If you are getting hired right now the upgrade will be forever , did you know that?
Go to skywest, GoJets, TSA or even Eagle..
I just looked at my payroll stub.. a person in McD makes more than I did in this paycheck.. I had to call off a trip because of weather and they removed the entire trip from my schedule. 4 days of pay ; gone.. The contract says I have to be given the trip .. Now I will file the grievance and may be will see the money in 3 years..
Go to a place where you will be treated like a human being.

Better yet, why are you and every RAH pilot flying exactly by the FARs and the company manual till you get a new contract?
You all complain about how bad it is, but none of you ever do anything about it. Don't pretend like your management is somehow so much worse than all the other management teams out there.
You want a new contract, you have to do something about it.

It's really not that bad. My W-2 for last year was $41,058 as an FO with an average of 17 days off a month. Most of the time I feel like I don't have a job and one of my neighbors still thinks I'm unemployed because I'm always around.

You Sir are a minority at RAH. Also, you shouldn't be proud of $41,000.

Why are you still there then?

A good amount of our pilots are flying safely & exactly by the book. I think the problem is that the entire pilot group isn't on board. We have a lot of outstations, and many Captains have moved there to have a decent quality of life. They get comfortable, make an ok living, and don't want to disrupt that. Meanwhile the person sitting to his right has their life on hold for a new contract or upgrade. At the end of the day, the Captain sets the tone.
