Union dues is just shy of 1.6%, you start paying after 90 days.
Hotel during initial training is provided but is double occupancy. (I don't know of any airline that's provides a hotel when training is in your base/domicile after initial training! So no clue why that was even mentioned.)
$5000 bonus is paid in 2 payments, 1st on day 15 of training, second on the 30th day. (2 yr training contract for E170/175)

You will know what certificate and aircraft because they allow you to choose. When they make you an offer they will ask your preference. You can turn down a class offer 3 times before having to re-interview (It was this way as recent as November 2012, don't know if it has changed).

Exactly. I only mentioned it because the person I was answering the questions for said he had heard conflicting answers about whether or not a hotel was provided in the past. I only offered the addition info as a possible reason for hearing the yes and no answers. Either way, I could have worded it better.

The insurance for a new hire doesn't kick in until after 30 days anyway so you will need to keep your current insurance for a little bit regardless.
Once hired, you can fully vet the plans, their rates and then make an intelligent decision.
