I agree with Purdue.....Seattlepilot, Why are you still at a company you seem to dislike so much???

If you can make more at McD, why dont you go there?

I am honestly asking you a question. If you hate it so much, WHY are you still there????

I'll make close to 50k at SkyWest on 2nd year pay plus per diem

And that's why you should never compare just pay rates. Soft pay makes a huge difference as you can clearly see in your W2.

Still not great pay but a 10,000 plus difference is big when you are living pay check to pay check

If you're living paycheck to paycheck on 50 grand you're doing something wrong.

Single, yes. Married with kids and a mortgage, no.

I'm gonna pull the BS meter here. The only way you're coming remotely close to that is by working ALL the time and constantly helping out the company. I asked a few SKW friends about your number and they laughed.

That's BS. There are VERY few pilots who would agree that "it's not that bad". Also, I find it interesting that you earned over 10% more than me and we are both FOs topped out on pay for the last 2 years. Funny how you average 150% of my number of days off. Where are you based?

The dollar amount is realistic. As a topped out FO, I W2'd 42k in 2010 and 2011. But, I bid for max days off and only averaged 15. 16 was a bonus and I never saw 17.

And that's topped out, at the top 20% of the list in my base.
