I heard the failure rate on the Q400 is high, plus the no cancel pay doesn't help. Is the rumors about them switching the shuttle class true?

I just learned one in five walk out right after their type ride in the Q, So drop out rate for new hires is getting up there in republic. three just quit this month already when they found out that they are going to be on reserve communicating to an outstation for years making 300 a week. Its funny how new hires don't believe us how life is here.

LOLz...

Let me simplify. Q400=mx disaster.
MX disaster= flights cancelled.
Flights cancelled= -$23.00/hr.
-$23.00=even poorer FO.

Don't be an even poorer FO...

Greetings fellow pilots,

I am currently working with a part 121 operator and have a interview coming up with Republic Airways in few weeks. Id like to see if anyone can give me the gouge on the ATP written style test they give out and what are the majority of the questions focusing on. And if the questions on the written come right out of the ATP test bank, because I am taking the ATP written test in a few days and if thats the case then it will be still fresh in my head. And second anybody have any insight on what are the likely classes to be held in Republic in month of September, assuming I pass the interview hopefully and most likely get a class date in September. I am preferring a LGA base as I will be relocating there in few months so Chathauqa and Shuttle America would be my primary choices for certificate options. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Before folks come on here and beraid you, read all the comments in this thread and the multiple "avoid RAH like the plague" themes. Also... If you're already at a 121 carrier... Why move/why move to a mess like RAH when there's Skywest, XJT, and compass hiring later this year?

Yes, the questions are from the ATP test bank. The gouges on Willflyforfood have many, if not most of, the questions.

My question for this thread:

Can you change equipment if displaced? For example, if you are on the Chatauqua certificate and that flying gets reduced, could you bid to one of the other certs or would you just be furloughed?
