If you want ATL, why Shuttepublitaqua??

There is another well known regional with an ATL base about 20x (even after all the downsizing) bigger than Shuttle's. Why wouldn't you try to go there instead??

There have been quite a few new hires get ATL in 1 or 2 months lately but yes you will be on reserve for quite a while.

Because there are not many options to live in base at ATL at the Regional level. I choose to exercise "all" options so I can live in base and not commute. As far as I know ExpressJet, Shuttle and Silver are the only regionals with bases in ATL. Well Pinnacle has one too but that is basically unattainable at this time.

IMO living in base in the single easiest way to make regional life easier.

Or you could just move to Indianapolis or Columbus. They really are jewels. Great quality of life. And the best trips by far at Shuttle

With all these potential concessions being thrust upon the regionals it looks like Republic missed their 6 year window to get a new contract. Thanks Teamsters!!

Let me see,

Eagle being asked for concessions
SKW being asked for concessions but the kool-aid is in full force so they are on a sugar hi to feel it
EXJ being asked for concessions
Pinnacle bad contract a year after they got an improvement
GoJet about to start working on contract
Compass working on contract and heading to mediation
Great Lakes has been working on a contract for years
Airwisky, PDT and PSA I am not sure

I don't think the problem is the teamsters, just saying... The grass isn't greener on the other side. The problem is ALPA having to many hands in both cookie jars (Major & Regionals).

Well it has been over 6 years, just saying, this should've been done awhile ago.
