Never said I couldn't research, never said I was considering the place, never said I was basing a decision on the answers provided here. Just asked a couple of simple questions, hoping for a couple of simple answers. Thanks for your input.

I stand by my statement. Even more so after your response as well as the one other response to your question.

money is horrible and the ceo/cfo hate pilots. The ONLY reason to consider Rah is if you live near PHL,PIT or DCA. If you commute on reserve, youll hate life there. Happiest day of my life was my last at Rah- and I wasnt even one of the miserable ones there.

Can anyone tell me what the reserve situation looks like for the E170/175 for the Republic cert? What are the chances of holding ORD out of training?

zero chance, look at being reserve for six months at cmh or pit with a two leg commute on your days off. then about a year at ORD. hard to get the jump seat there because of all the main line pilots that get the jump seat before you. they company is telling you upgrade times are two years, they are about 5-7 depending on what you what to fly. and US air isnt going to hire any republic pilots anymore.

What's your source for your statement that US Air won't be hiring any more Republic pilots?

He's just busting your ballz. New hires are holding ORD out of training and a lot of our pilots are going to US; both CA's and FO's.

I was going to say, I have a friend in training there. He was initially LGA based but got awarded ORD while in training. Has to commute for a few weeks but his transfer date is approaching.

Openly and fully admits he went to RAH for SJS and knows it will suck but "living with my folks will help alot."
