Republic is toast, there is no way they can hire that many people and cover attrition unless they can get American, Delta, and United to not hire any of their pilots.

As far as staffing issues... It's my personal belief that the recent interest of the company to get negotiations going with the Union through a private mediator is the first sign that management is realizing without a new contract all flying at Republic Holdings in the present as well as the future is in jeopardy.
Think about it. Why did the company recently start putting all those feel good stories on the intranet? Why post stories about how many pilots joined the company every 2 weeks? Why post stories about how much better our Q program is running? All I see from my pilot perspective is a seniority list with over 300+ new hires this year but a NET GAIN of 60+ pilots. All I see is United giving flying to other regionals and not Republic Holdings. All I see is a management team going around recurrent ground schools and portraying a unified front designed to make the Union leadership look bad. I'm not the biggest fan of the Muffin Man, but I support my Union and my pilot group.
I believe this group will be voting on a TA within the next 6-12 months. We will be asked to take deals similar to Endeavor and PSA. Eagle pilots already said no to lowering the bar any further. We at Republic absolutely have to not only vote no to concessions but do everything in our power to raise the bar. Any TA not endorsed by the E-board and NC should be an automatic NO vote for any pilot at RAH. If we keep waiting we will gain more leverage as attrition picks up thanks to Major Airlines finally hiring en masse. It's time for our group to get a contract that recognizes the contributions of the pilot group. Until then continue doing your job and only YOUR JOB as SAFELY as possible.
God Bless.

I dunno, seems like every week I am seeing more and more people, former students and/or co-workers from my flight school talk about "REPUBLIC 175! WOOO!!!!" and then their facebook picture is updated to an Eagle 175

I'm sure every single new hire class is stuffed. Hard to fight SJS. The real question is what is the net gain of pilots? That is all that matters at the end of the day.

12 more Q's? I thought we were already running 28 and asked United to let us delay the last 4 until next year?

Well said. I hope you all get what you all deserve in a actual contract with work rules, vacation benefits, pay that reflects equipment etc. I believe the majority of your group has been there for 5 plus years and tired of being treated as poorly as you are. There is a reason they went to psa first for concessions..THEY ARE A WEAK GROUP. I hope others don't follow this pitfall.

Barring a near miraculous breakthrough in contract negotiations, when you check back with them a year from now they'll have a very different attitude.
